Description
Clock details:I did a lot of thinking while working on this piece.
Time is so important in our world.
We are constantly under stress, running from one place to the next, trying to accomplish things and fulfill tasks at given deadlines.
It is difficult to find a moment to rest, think and be in peace.
Some never realize that time is relentless and will go on until it's too late. Time will continue flowing, inflexible.
Waters will turn rocks into sand, castles into ruins... day will follow night day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year and century after century.
Womankind is blind at the fact that there are so many other important things in life (like showing love to and caring for our beloved ones daily, like enjoying the small things around us, like making a stop to feel the breeze or sunshine touching our skins) which are left aside while we run towards success or goals.
Time is relentless. Every second gone... is gone.
It will never be back.
Think about that.
This work took me two weeks working an average of 4 hours daily and I used exactly 80 layers. I am happy with it because I did my best... and I want to dedicate it to and .
To Ebru, because of her encouragement, friendship and love. She awed me with her painting skills and I used her last tutorial to understand some more about how to use brushes to paint (most of the clocks have been retouched by painting them) and because she always encourages me so much .
To Christian, because of his support, encouragement and friendship. Since we first got in touch he started giving me advise, sending me notes with information and links, sharing his knowledge with me, teaching me how to improve. He has very little time, still he manages to be there when I have a question.
You all know this is my 4th photomanipulation.
To some of my friends, who may have asked themselves what was wrong with me, that I've been absent for so long, I will tell more in my next journal. I've been using my DA time for something very moving and important... I'll explain there.

Brian, hello again!!! Thank you so much for your greetings!
This was one of the most complicated works I did,
due to the many clocks. Changing shapes and painting
each took lots of work. And I had to get it ready
on time for the contest...
Are you working on something right now? I so hope to see more
of your work!!!!!

Oh yess, almost done with my next drawing. Sitting in my cabin at work during the evenings and manage to put in a couple of hours every night. I'll post it when I get back home next week.

Indeed...
And the older we get, the more we cherish the simple things.
And we give importance to what really matters.

Is it? I thought you would recognize it !
I sent it time ago for a contest at iManipulate where
specific clocks had to be used.

You are very welcome. You put a lot of effort into your comments and people could indeed work harder on them.

I apologize for the late answer, I was away due to a work overload,
still having lots to do, but I'll try to log on more often
I like to share the little I know and learn, and the feelings I get from
works. I also love to comment on the works of others, if they move me.
I can't judge others because each situation is different, but I understand
what you mean and yes, I think most could work harder on them, say more,
share more. Then, the learning process would be easier for everyone!
Again, thank you very much. It meant a lot to me!!!!

Your beautiful words touched me...
We can never be enough with our beloved ones, but we live
so fast! We get so easily distracted by non important things!
I am glad that you liked it, it was a huge work, but I usually
enjoy every second of what I do!

Well thank you!
You will make me blush !!
I think of myself as a beginner... My first work with photoshop was in
May 2009... and it's an addiction. I never enjoyed this much before.
That's why I opened the stock account, to share with others the beauty
I see and what I think can be useful !

Yes addiction!! OMG!!!! My husband wants to blow the PC up!!! I am on it WAY to much!!!!

Lo que pasa es que tengo MUCHAS fotos de lugares hermosos.
Mi cΓ‘mara no es reflex, pero intento subir solo las que yo
utilizarΓa.
Da mucho trabajo, sin embargo, tener 2 cuentas... hay que atender
ambas y no descuidar a los amigos...
Mi esposo mira televisiΓ³n mientras yo estoy en la computadora.
FΓΊtbol, rugby, basquetball... y noticias! Pero estamos en el
mismo cuarto, asΓ que en cierta forma, estamos juntos!
Si, soy bien nueva en esto. Apenas comenzando, en realidad!!!

wow this is amazing~ I love how much feeling you put in to this~
I adore the colors of the clocks~ everything seems perfect for the kind of feeling you where going for~

How sweet of you !
You are the first one ever to mention the colors, isn't that interesting?
You are right...I did put a lot of feeling and dedication and I selected
each color and the color of each border, one by one, drawing lines, making
numbers more visible, working on shadows and lights on the inside of the
clock glasses...
You just made my day today by noticing something that was important for me
that was noticed! I guess, it depends on the eye of the viewer... on how
much time and interest one puts into looking!

HCWalsh In reply to Manwathiell [2010-02-12 02:54:27 +0000 UTC]
Really~ that's surprising~ I think it really adds to the picture that you did that so I would have imagined everyone would comment on it~
I really think its amazing how much work you put in to each element and I think it really payed off~ I actually really like to look at the detail image as well becuz there is just so much to look at~

Manwathiell In reply to HCWalsh [2010-02-13 00:42:48 +0000 UTC]
People usually rush through deviations. Many comment, but what each one
sees is not the same. In your case, you were the first one to mention
the color on the clocks and the work and dedication it took. Maybe others
mentioned the "work" it took... but not specifically mentioning that.
That's what makes me believe that you really SAW while looking... and
it's extremely valuable to me. It makes a difference for the person who
worked on it...

HCWalsh In reply to Manwathiell [2010-02-13 03:49:50 +0000 UTC]
aww~
I agree not enough people really take in the picture before commenting~ I felt exactly the same way when you commented on my drawing~ I really love the people for taking the time to look/comment/fav but it means so much when someone takes the time to truly see what you put into it~
I've enjoyed taking to you and looking at your gallery~ I can see you put alot in to your pictures and I really enjoy your Photo manipulations even tho they are not normally my thing~ They transport me to another world and inspire me~

Manwathiell In reply to HCWalsh [2010-02-13 18:44:46 +0000 UTC]
I think that the problem is that one usually watches too many people.
Sometimes you "like" something, and then there's not much to say about it.
It's just a normal "photo" or "drawing" or "manipulation".
But then, there are those "other" works that touch a fiber in us.
They might bring memories or surprise us or make us wow.
It is then when I usually comment, just because I can't help it. It's stronger
than me. The feeling becomes overwhelming and even if some artists don't read/
care for comments, I do it because I feel I would burst if I dont !
I will add you to my watch (yes, I noticed you did and it made me very happy!).
Promise that you will not fave things you don't like.
Promise that you will only comment if you really feel like.
And I will do the same.
In that way, trusting each other, giving honest constructive critique when
needed, we can feed each others' souls and trust that every comment will be
born from the heart.
I don't usually connect much and it is also possible that sometimes it takes
me a while until I reach a work. But be sure that if I like it, I will fave
it. And if it awes me, I will comment
You don't need to thank for faves on my profile (I never do that myself).
Just let it flow as it comes.
Like the idea?

HCWalsh In reply to Manwathiell [2010-02-13 21:36:04 +0000 UTC]
promise I don't tend to fav things that I don't really like for some reason or another~ it needs to make me feel some thing first~ Also I never comment if I don't feel like it and I will always try to tell you how I really feel about something~
It means alot to me that you watched me~ I know that you'll really look at my art and it will mean so much more if you do comment or fav then when others do~
so yes I do like the idea~
