I'm looking forward to it as well. I hope it isn't gonna be like how N was in Best Wishes where he wasn't with the gang for every episode. I at least hope they'll be with the group at least until Team Flare gets the Ash-whooping that they deserve. (p.s., the whole "Ash-whooping" thing is basically Ash's beat-downs on other trainers, as invented by either Dane or Tyrone during their live reactions of the episode where Shauna and Tierno meet Serena's newly captured Eevee, with KGPrestige) It'd be even more surprising if Alain was competing in the Kalos league.
(I'd be more than just sad if Mairin didn't show up again like that, I'd be furious! Manonshipping for life!)

It does really seem like they are leading up to Alain and Manon helping Ash defeat team Flare, with the whole Alain working with Lysandre thing. I don't think they can really conclude that in one act, and as act 4 will be the last mega evolution special, they would have to tie it into the main series or something. So, let's cross our fingers! And yeah, Manon had better be there too! I can't see them just offing her character though, so I'm sure she will be there.
