Anyway, I was originally going to have her Pokemon with her but I didn't really like how they looked in the picture and I was really happy with how she turned out, so I just did this simple thing instead.

Yep! I usually have 3 or 4 steps when I write, depending on if I type the entire chapter or do it on paper before typing it. I get everything down first and then once the chapter is done I will wait for a few hours or a day and then I'll print it out and edit it with a pen (this helps me to keep my focus). After that I will fix the first document and if I can I'll show someone else and get their opinion on it, see if they can find anything that I have missed.
