These are so beautiful to a point where they impact my emotions, giving me a peaceful sense inside. Good job Maple Spyder!

Wow these are gorgeous! The atmosphere is captured well and it really gives an almost mystic feel.
The two problems I have with the first one is this, okay I can understand the grass growing in the pathway where there seems to be enough light coming through but the grass in the really shadowed areas (Example: the bottom right corner with the two trees) would not work if you're going for realism in most wild forests with very little human interaction especially the ground would likely be covered in leaves and if that didn't stop the grass then the lack of adequate sunlight would now this is a thinner forest then most but I still see enough tree-cover to stop the grass under the trees.
One more thing is the simple brown trees, I would love to see more forests make use of other trees such as Birches and Pines, so in your next study I'd suggest looking up different varieties of trees to add to your piece.
Since this was a study I hope this critique reaches you and helps! (I know this piece is fairly old)

Hello!! I'm having many troubles with drawing landscapes, specially the depth. Is it ok if I reference the top drawing a tiny bit? I will only reference the colors/ the depth. Thank you so much if you let me!! ^-^

Im assuming you use references often, where do you go to find your references?

I second this. Unfortunately someone that can only get out of the city so much, I don't get to find things like this often. So pretty.

I more or less meant online haha but also, it would be amazing if she found her reference around her. I have some pretty places near me but not many

Yeah online references are easier to come by I guess XD. Yeah the only time I get to see prettier places is when we head over to the Bay Area here in Cali, but that's bout the farthest I've travelled in the states.

GOALS! GOALS! GOALS!
These are beautiful. I love the atmosphere and the depth of your backgrounds. If you don't mind me asking a few questions: how long do you typically spend on backgrounds like this? How about when you first started trying to study/paint them? If you remember, I'd be curious to know.

:'000 Thank you xux
and these ones took between maybe 2-4 hours? The top one took more time but the bottom one was maybe roughly 2 hours.
And for the second question, do you mean when I first started to paint landscapes 2-3 years ago?

Yeah, that's correct. Obviously you might not remember at this point. lol I was just curious.
But that's actually very encouraging to me that you spend about 2-4 hours on these. So many times when I get started on a landscape, I'm afraid that if I'm not spending longer than 4 or 5 hours on it, I'm rushing. But I also would completely loose patience with working on it that long. Thanks for answering. ^_^

Actually, even if you are good at art already, you still need to practice. If you don't draw for more then 1-2 weeks, it'll mess you up a lot.
