Here is a new, updated, reference for Maple - despite having updated not so long ago into a hyena. The change is a bit subtle to what I originally was going to change it to - I was going to have the tone more sandy but decided to keep her orange hue.There's less stripes now and more spots. And also a bit of blue added to her body to contrast the orange.
Hope you guys like the change! ;u; Finch and I both gave major color changes at the same time ewe
Edit: Since a few people were confused, she's asexual and homoromantic. I probably should have made that more clear on the sheet.

Overall a really good desgin! but one flaw is the hyena anatomy, yes, I know my hyena character has some flaws in that too, but she does seem a little too dog-like in appearance, and I understand it might just be your style, but usually a spotted hyena's face is more 'rounded' when it meets the snout and also has a more 'bear-like' appearance to it other than just a canine's.

i miss the old maple ;; i liked her more fierce orange colours. i think the blue splots on her old reference would've looked rEALLY snazzy

I love the jay feathers and the little spots of aqua, they really bring out her orangey fur :3

I personally prefer the old one, when she was super-orange and her ridge was taller, this one looks more natural. Even if I love this idea that her fur turns into fire :,3

I love the new "Maple hyena"! It's a different fursona than most animators. The fire phases are right on point! Wuv it alll..especially your new style of animating! >:3
