Description I had no idea what else to call this. This was for my Painting I class. We had to make a collage of magazine pictures...and then paint it! So I had a mountain goat, those cowboy men in their tent, and a reflective building. And they were not easy to replicate. o_o

Holy crud, that's cool! I love the angle on this. And you're right: hair is awfully hard to draw, and yours looks perfect. So soft. Makes me want to pet my monitor. Gotta +fav this. (I'm a sucker for goats, the cheeky things.)

Thank you! Mountain goats are pretty darn cool...I hadn't done much with them before, and I never realized how HUGE their heads are compared to other goat things. They're more like deer and horses than, like, domestic goats...or even sheepy things. He could kill you. With his head.

Awesome goat! O.O Don't see too many paintings that have the viewer looking UP at a goat. Though I haven't seen too many painted goats. XD The perspective is very unique and cool, anyway. And the background is intriguing. Who are the people inside the tent? Goat farmers?

Thanks, Silver! I have no idea who's in the tent. They were part of the magazine picture I copied. XD The goat was also a magazine picture, and as soon as I saw him standing all imposing and stuff and said, "Ah! Must paint goat!" So there he is!

What a cool idea! How exactly did you make the collage? Cutting out things, or overlapping them, or what? I'd love to try something like that, sometime. Sounds like fun! (Of course, mine would suck in comparrison).

I totally dig the goat. Awesome job! He looks GREAT. And the cowboys? Cowboys are...hot. Yeah. <3

Thanks! We cut picture out of magazines with exacto knives and just layered them. It's an easy way to make a composition.

Yep, probably. If you take a painting course, anyway...never did anything on quite this scale in drawing or design.

That's what I want to take this summer if they offer it. If my guidence lady wasn't so absent minded and not helpful -shoots daggers from her eyes at the guidence lady- xD

I really need to paint more! More traditional art in general really! LOL

Thanks, Colormist! It's actually acrylic...I can NOT handle watercolors very well at all, not to get that kind of detail. Boy would I love to, though. *_*
