And I just now myself got ready with my mother's day gift, also using ink
The bird, especially the feathers, you drew really well, with a good use of detail and technique. Unfortunately though, i find the background quite distracting. I think it would have been enough to leave the bird and the black shadow, without the rest of the lines. But that's just a subjective opinion here, it's nevertheless a great drawing.
