It's just that I have been sculpting for a very long time, and have done a lot of pieces.

I spent the first 40 years of my life raising my daughters and working as a bookkeeper........that's some boring stuff. I always wanted to sculpt and made very few things over the years. I only just started a year ago now that my daughters are grown. I guess I could go a little bit easier on myself.
Did you go to art school or are you self taught? I'm just kind of winging it with no art school, and after seeing your work I think I could use some anatomy classes Your sculpts remind me of Frank Frazetta Illustrations that I loved as a girl with uber ultra feminine women. Where did you get your initial inspiration?

Yes, you see.
I think it's awesome you have the time now, and are ready to pursue this dream.

I did go to several art schools, but always had problems with art teachers ( I guess I knew more then they thought I knew, hehehe).
But. I started sculpting when I was 5, so that helped out also.

I love Franks work, its definitely the style of my women, the more voluptuous the better, hahaha.
My initial inspiration comes first and foremost from brazilian women. I grew up surrounded by them and they are a definite influence in my style.
I'll tell you something, if you want to improve, practice, practice, practice!
You can't sculpt enough.
I sculpt evereday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. then from 2:00 p.m. to like 8 or 9:00 p.m..
I divide my time from commissioned sculpts, to my sculpts, to internet work, and it's non stop.
Soon, you will see improvement, and then you'll be really hooked, hahaha!!!

Thank you for taking the time to replay I'm a little starstruck like "omg a rockstar is talking to me"
I also had trouble with my first art teacher, he wanted me to do things his way and I already knew what he was trying to teach me, so he flunked me because I wouldn't do it his way.
I did a lot of different kind of art and mediums and didn't know it had to be sculpture until I was in my twenties. My first attempt at sculpting is here [link] I was afraid to do the details and face so i hid them

You see, it's not just me, some of those teachers are a bit nuts, lol.

Yes she was made mostly of Super Sculpey Firm.
The base has mixed media stuff.
