Description
The Torrent-X is a rather successful variant of ugly and is used by a group of Clone Wars veterans, both clones and non-clones of the former GAR who created a defense organization. The Torrent-X combines parts of the Slayn & Korpil V-19 Torrent Starfighter and the Incom T-65 X-Wing Starfighter. Rather than combing through warzones for usable part to make their Torrent-X fighters, the GADG (Grand Army Defense Group) purchase parts of X-Wings and V-19s that are due for the cutting torch.Related content

Really interesting mix. I'm suddenly reminded of those pirate starfighters from the X-wing Rogue Squadron comic books that featured TIEs with Y-wing engines.

I know exactly which fighters you refer to and they are the most common uglies. They are known as TYE-Wings, but have a number of nicknames.
