Welp, after four years of giddy anticipation of what possibly could've been the greatest plot twist in franchise history -- reversing the Outworld-Earthrealm dynamic -- NRS instead dumps 2/3 of the gang for MK11 and gives us a not-forced-at-all Kotal-Jade romance.
Shame they clearly have no idea what to do with the characters anymore. Sheesh. /rant

I just hope they finally buff them to where they should actually be in the canon. Watching the second generation of Spec Ops beat all of them several times really annoyed me since Kotal Kahn is powerful enough to kill both Goro and his father in the comics then lost to Kung Jin in the game. It was like if Shao Kahn lost to Styker in the first arc of the story.
