I know why it looks like it flickers though. It's the way Microsoft made the X button fade in that makes it look like it's flickering.

Not sure. I spent the last two days reinstalling my pc, slept very little and a lot of it
I did in a blurry state of mind. Patching it would have prevented it to work?

Fixed! On my first run of W10 I had indeed patched according to the readme file.
This time I must have been out of it as I didn't. Β Now fully enjoying your great
theme Β and it'll go directly in my flashdrive toolkit

Hi Thanks for this exactly what i was looking for, Awesome Job!!!Β
Is there any reason with the latest version that the edges of the window become transparent when the window is not the active one, Only thing thats bugging the crap outta me, wasn't like this in the previous version.

Thanks.
It's always been transparent but you didn't noticed. Believe it or not this border is a part of the start menu and jump list so I didn't want to change.
You're welcome.

is there a specific reason for the File Explorer title to stay slightly blue'ish when it's not active? it only happens with File Explorer.

Its not working for me. The inactive windows have the same color as the active, it the windows title of the inactive sometimes show the greu background as what was happening with the old "color theme" that was around the internet.
Win10 Pro x64.

I dont know the fix exactly. I had installed another windows 10 color theme and i think the themes folder was a bit messed up, i also deleted the folders aero and windows from the themes folder and i think i shouldnt have. I also ran a couple of times the system file checker (sfc /scannow) command and it repaired some files that uxthemepatcher modified. Something broke and it made my OS to not boot.
In the end i had to do a system restore to sometime that morning, i put the default windows 10 theme and then i applied the theme from this page and now all the colors are showing as they should (except some color depending on the applications themselves that dont fit well with the black theme).

Thank for for sharing this! exactly what I was looking for, kind of.
Just a few suggestions/questions.
* Is it possible to change the color of the icon backgrounds? for example blue instead of black, but still have black/white titlebars?
* These icons:Β i.imgur.com/33dDtBE.jpg
* Also, is it possible to make the "not-selected program/folder/" not so grey or washed out black color? like.. make it more black, similar to the selected one?
* Like this:Β i.imgur.com/WccScSv.jpg
Otherwise, great job!
Thanks!

Is there a way for the dark theme to make the inactive window's title bar black as well? I made the active window as dark as i could, but I also want the inactive to be like that. I'm fine with differentiating them by how the names look I don't need it to be gray.
Can you help me with that?
Others than that I like the theme.

If I understand you want to make active and inactive windows to be the same color? But where's the point?
Thanks.
π: 0 β©: 1
NoAvaron In reply to mare-m [2015-08-15 20:05:49 +0000 UTC]
Yeah that's what I meant, I just don't really like the grayish color on the inactive window. You can still see the difference by looking at the title bar's text like before.
Can you tell me how I can change it?

I made some changes. Otherwise, you have on the net themes with same color of active and inactive windows. Still doesn't make sense.
