This is how I do hair. It's a bit glass-like, inspired by the style of (modern) graphics.

I'm pretty faily sorry but xD, Like, How can you tell where to put the shading? I know you have to put it where the light doesnt shine but I can never figure out where. xD

mariiiis-dolls In reply to Rikaxniipah [2011-10-31 07:46:03 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, it's difficult to tell 'in general'. Every hairstyle needs the highlights/shades somewhere else, and it depends on the lightsource. Try looking at photos and draw some sketches just where the highlights and shades are It helps me a lot when I can't imagine how to shade hair^^

You mean Trixy did a tutorial the same as Mari.
Since this one got posted a month before Trixy's.

If you're trying to say I stole this....let me tell you that I released mine earlier than she did . And I even have dolls from 2009, where I already used this style ([link] )

But you should keep in mind, that there's no copyright on a style. So EVERYONE would be free to create a tutorial with this style. If you're creating art, you actually should know this.

I never said you stole anything. All I was doing was pointing something out that seemed similar to me.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

mariiiis-dolls In reply to scarletlightning64 [2010-12-16 21:04:08 +0000 UTC]

No. For all my pixels I use the classic old MS Paint

scarletlightning64 In reply to mariiiis-dolls [2010-12-16 22:19:48 +0000 UTC]

Wow. Must be hard to use MS Paint for this.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

mariiiis-dolls In reply to scarletlightning64 [2010-12-17 04:41:09 +0000 UTC]

actually not^^ Paint has all features I need for pixeling, and not too much extras/tools. Eventhough it has no layers, I prefer it to Photoshop. It's just easy+quick to navigate WITHOUT all unneccessary features
