Description
A loud noise rang into the scene breaking Alex and Marina’s sleep. “it’s 8 already?” Alex asked groggily as he reached his arm over to the nightstand to shut his phone’s alarm off. “Uhh… Stinging Stingrays. My head’s ringing. What’s going on?” Marina mumbled as her ears pointed down with an irritated manner at the noisy intruder as she parted the seas with her blond bedhead hair. Feeling the floor go up and down made her confused. Then waking up a little more, her feeling returned and felt the warmth on the floor, making her realizing her location and her face ran hot. “Morning, sunshine! It’s time to get up and get some breakfast,” he said as he smiled at her mumbling. “Great, I got stuck with an early bird!” Marina mumbled to herself, thinking he didn’t hear. Suddenly the floor jostled underneath her as she steadied her half-awake body as he lightly laughed at her early bird comment. ”And it looks like I got stuck with a night owl.” Blushing for hearing her comment, she felt a little embarrassed. “It might seem like that but, it’s only during the week days, Marina.” Alex continued as he carefully picked her up and headed for the kitchen. He then placed her on the table and headed off for food. Finishing up breakfast, he cleared the table and walked off to get dressed in his work duds.Exiting his room ready to go, he looked at the table and noticed she fell asleep again. Now having food in her belly, she was ready to go back to sleep. Shaking his head and rolling his eyes, he gently picked her up and carefully placed her back into the now clean jacket pocket. Zipping up the zipper for safety, he walked out and headed down the stairs. “Morning, Alex! How’d you sleep?” the man at the lobby counter asked. “Great! Just wish it could’ve lasted a bit longer though...” he replied with a slight laugh. “As always!” the man shrugged. “Oh, hey, if it’s not too much trouble, that darn sink of mine is having trouble working. Do you think you could look at it later today?” “Sure! I’d be glad to! Give me today’s shift and I’ll meet you at your place. Just text me your address whenever ya can!” he replied with a smile. “Thanks! You’re a life-saver!” the man said happily. “Okay then, see ya later!” Starting to wake up again, Marina heard the humming of the motorcycle engine and felt them on the move. Now being fully awake she noticed she was in the pocket again. “I wish I had my backpack right ‘bout now.” Marina thought to herself. Then the engine stopping made her get out of her head. Curiosity got the best of her as she leaned in, using her elf ears to try to hear what was going on outside. “Hey, Alex! Glad you made it! Your first appointment is already in your area.” Called out the boss. “Thanks! I’ll get right on it!” Alex called out as he headed over to his work area, the furthest work station with a bike ready.
Entering in, he slowly unzipped his jacket pocket to retrieve his little stowaway. “Eep!” Marina squeaked as she felt him touch the pocket and unzipping the zipper. Falling over, she landed on her back and looked up squinting as her eyes adjusted. Slowly lowering his hand in, he pulled her out and placed her on his work bench. Awed by the totally new location, she looked around and saw the metal pieces around her. "Wow, what is this place?” Marina asked as she let her eyes wander to the motorcycle. With a light laugh, he responded, “This is where I work. I fix anything that runs, electrical or gas that is.” As he reached over and turned the radio on the Z to listen to music. Turning around, Marina said “Wow, couldn’t do any of that. Now if only I had my backpack…“ “Oh wait!” Alex stated as a lightbulb went on in his head. Reaching down into his suit pocket he pulled out the tiny tan backpack he found right before finding her. “This yours?” Marina’s eyes widened as they glistened and sparkled. “Yes! Where did you find it?” Marina asked as she pulled her backpack out from his fingertips. Not hearing him reply, she looked back and noticed he was laying down on the floor and messing with something underneath the bike. Curious, she placed her bag down and used her elf agilities to climb down. She then walked over up to one of his big black boots, and walked up along the side of his leg, along his very long body, and looked up at the gigantic metal piece called the “underside of the bike”. Turning his head to get a tool from his belt, he noticed Marina standing and staring up at what he was doing. Surprised, he asked, “Marina?! What are ya doing down here?” Not even leaving her eyes from the underbike, she replied “Just curious. Never actually looked at one of these up close before.”
With a light chuckle escaping his lips, Alex then said, “Well, here let me help ya out.” “Hmmm?” Marina cocked her head at him. Alex then moved his hand closer to her and used his dirty index finger and smudged some dirty motor gunk on her. “What the great white was that for?” Marina asked stunned as she saw that she was now as dirty as him, well in the face anyway. With another laugh, he continued back to his work and responded, “There ya go! Much better! Now ya look like you’re appropriate!” “Haha… very funny.” Marina stated flatly. Then hearing movement, knowing that someone was coming, she gasped and climbed up his broad chest and jumped into Alex’s top pocket underneath his name badge. “Thank goodness that he was lying down.” Marina thought as she felt him get up from under the bike and upright. She heard Alex and another guy chad for about a minute. When he left, she steadied herself as she poked her head out. “That was a little too close…” Marina stated as she sighed in relief and wiped at her now dirty face. “You okay there?” Alex asked as he looked down at her blackened face. She looked really cute with the smudge on her face but he tried to hide that thought in his head. “Fine.” “Okay. I’m going to wheel her out and get my next appointment. Think you’ll be okay in there?” he questioned. “You’re talking to someone who has lived in the woods all her life, I think I can manage…” she replied as she slunked back in and shifted until she was comfortable. Feeling her move around up there felt a little weird but it was over quickly.
Moving in now a 1943 Sedan, he turned the key to see if he could hear the problem. Hearing the problem, he took out the key and pulled Marina out and placed her back on the work bench. He then went under with his legs out only in sight. “Wow. I got to get this!” Marina breathed as she went to her bag and pulled out her brown worn-down leather sketchpad. Starting out her drawing with the Sedan, she then subconsciously ended drawing him underneath it as well. Well, his legs anyway. Getting up for a drink of water, he looked down at her and wondered what she was doing. She had been somewhat quiet for the longest time, mostly humming to the radio in the background. “Whatcha doing, drawing?” He asked as he shifted over to where he could see the drawing. It was him working on the Sedan. “Nice pic. Looks familiar don’t it? Now where have I’ve seen this?” he asked in a small playful tone. Blushing, Marina replied, “Sorry. I just had to draw the car! I never saw a 1943 Sedan in real life before! I’ve only heard about them and seen them in movies. They’re one of my favorites! And then, well, you just popped up in there…” ears going down with embarrassment. “It’s all good. It’s really cool! I’m just going to get a drink from the fountain real quick.” “Oh wait! Here!” Marina said as she stood up. Using her water abilities, she formed a giant ball of water floating in a couple of feet in front of his face. “Woah...” he gasped as saw the ball form.
With a giggle, Marina replied, “You drink it. It’s good. Try it!” Noticing that she quoted him from last night, he held back a laugh and collected the levitating ball in his mouth. “Wow. It is good. Thanks.” He said as he swallowed the water down. Talk about fresh water! “No prob! It’s what I do!” she shrugged as she sat back down to finish her drawing. Locomotives of all kind came in and out of his workshop as the time and day quickly passed on by. Going back down to collect his tools, he heard soft singing. Getting up in a crouching position, he noticed her singing in her drawing, not humming. The radio was playing “Shoulders” by King and Country. His smile widened into a grin as he stood up and wiped his hands off with a rugged old washcloth. “I didn’t know you knew this song.” Alex stated as he placed his tools around in their places on the belt. “Oh, yeah… This is one of my favs! I’ve always love Z88.3! I found an old techno gizmo thingy in the trash once and brought it back home in the woods. It’s were I’ve been able to watch movies, listen to music, and know the world. Well, the human world anyway. That’s my music station I listen to!” “Wow. Cool! “ he said as he looked down at his watch and schedule. 5 o’clock. “Ready to go? I got to get to a friend’s place to fix a sink.” “Yeah. What about you? What’s your favorite song?” Marina asked as she packed up her bag and swung it onto her shoulders.
Placing his digits gently on her back and belly, he lifted her up and placed her into his upper mechanic pocket. “Well, I don’t know. I like quite a few, but to name one now, I would have to say… Flawless, MercyMe.” “Yeah, that a great one too! I love that one as well… I also like Greater from MercyMe too!” Marina said as she stuck her head out as he turned off the radio and headed out. “Hey, I’m done. I’m going head on out, okay?” “Sure thing, kid! You finished all those locomotives already?! Wow! Well, okay. See ya, Monday!” his boss yelled out at him. With a light chuckle, he grabbed his jacket, sat on his bike and pulled out his phone. Looking through texts, he found the one he needed and started the engine. Parking in front of a little house, he took off the jacket and placed it on the seat. Ringing the doorbell, Alex was greeted by a tight squeeze. A short, older woman with silvering brown hair covered in flour threw her arms around his neck. Feeling heat rush to his face, he asked, “Have you seen the Mr. around anywhere?” “Yeah, Dearie! I’ll go get him for ya! Come on in!” the woman replied. She was little chubby around the edges, but suited her, and energy was as full as ever. “Thanks.” Alex replied as he walked in and headed for the sink. “You okay, Marina?” he whispered. “Yeah. I’m fine. Just wish I had some sort of a warning though…” Marina said as she stood up and shook her head.
“Yeah, me too! Okay, let’s see what the trouble is shall we?” He said as he opened the sink doors and stuck his head in to see if he could figure out the problem. “Hey, Alex! I found all my tools so you could use them, if need to be!” the man giddily stated as he entered the room. Surprised, Alex jumped, banging his head on the sink. “Ouch. Thanks.” He said as he stuck his head out and rubbed the top of his head. “Sorry. Didn’t mean to startle you son.” The man said as he placed down the toolbox next to Alex. “That’s okay. I think I’ll live…” he said as he grabbed the wrench. Alex knew this man had a lot of energy, but wow, in his own home, he and his wife were like two energetic kids! He liked it how happy they were together and hoped someday he might be like that. Looking up, Marina saw the underside of the sink and heard water sloshing as he went to remove the pipe. Using her powers she held the water before it spilled all over them. “Woah, that was close.” Alex breathed lightly as he saw her use her power to remove the water out of the pipe like a snake. Making the water disappear, he got right back to work. “How did you do that?” he whispered. “I’m a water source. I can make it disappear, appear, hot, cold… anything I want really.” She whispered back explaining.
After fiddling around with the pipes for a while, he did his thing. “Cool!” he whispered. “Okay, I think we’re good here. Let’s turn it on and see.” Alex stated out loud as he got up and shut the doors. Turning on the faucet, he didn’t see, or hear any more problems. Another job well done. Saying good bye and seeing how late it was getting, he headed out for his bike as the wife waved her arms and ran up to him with a plate of chocolate chip cookies. “Here ya go! Take a cookie!” “Thanks.” He said as he grabbed one and bit into it. He couldn’t just reject saying no. “Come on by again anytime, dear!” she called out as she ran back to the door as she and her husband nose rubbed and walked in using really funny endearment nicknames. Eating most of it, he secretly slipped a small piece in his pocket for Marina. “Ooo! Yummm…” Marina stated excitedly as she finished up the cookie piece. Now heading back to home, he parked his motorcycle, and headed up the flight of stairs. “You know what, Alex?” Marina asked randomly on the second round of stairs. “Hmm? I give up. What?” He said still focusing on the steps. “You’re kinda remind me of MacGyver and the Fonz.” Sinking his key into the lock, he entered in and shut the door behind him. “Really? I only heard those names at my grandparent’s home.”
Placing her down on his nightstand, he headed to the connected bathroom to get out of his dirty clothes. “Yeah. The Fonz is a really cool guy with a bike jacket that knows his bikes and cars and MacGyver, well, he can do anything! He tinkers with random things in his surroundings and can make about anything he wants. He once made a car work with a gum wrapper and an ink pen!” Marina explained as she went through her bag to see if she had any clean clothes. With no luck, she formed water in her hands and washed her face and spots on her blue shirt. “Cool. They sound like they’re pretty neat guys.” He said as he left the bathroom and entered the room. Seeing him without a shirt on made Marina blush a little, but hid it well. Turning around, she saw a giant picture behind her. “Who’s that?” she asked as she pointed to a man and woman who seemed very happy with a little boy between them. With a laugh, he replied, “That’s me. With my mom and dad.” “They look very happy.” “Yeah, they are. I just wish I can explain to them that I am happy with my life.” “What? They don’t think you’re happy?” “Not really. They think I won’t be fully happy until I find someone to spend the rest of my life with.” “Wow. I never had that problem. I lost my parents a long time ago. They just disappeared one day and never saw them since.” “I’m sorry.” “That’s okay. It’s in my past.” Marina said as he picked her up and placed down on his bed pillow.
“So… You really haven’t seen Happy Days or MacGyver?” Marina asked as Alex sat down on the bed and messed with his phone. “Nope. Can’t say that I have. But I can say, you remind me of Steve Rogers. An oldie stuck in the 21rst century.” He said as he placed his phone down on his night stand. “Thanks! I’ll take that as a compliment!” She grinned up at him. With a laugh, Alex asked, “Hey, want to watch something? I don’t have to work tomorrow.” “Sure! What do ya have in mind?” she asked as he carefully picked her up and headed toward the couch and tv. Setting her down by the ginormous stacks of dvds, he stated, “I don’t know. How ‘bout you pick?” “Oh, but that’s so hard! There are soo many good ones! The Princess Bride is an all-time classic, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is absolute favorite, Avengers; awesome, The Three Musketeers; cool, and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves; a personal fav! I can’t possibly pick just one by myself!” Marina stated as she walked through the many stacks, only pointing out a few. With another laugh, he said, “Well, we have to make a decision sometime. How ‘bout this one?” he asked as he placed his finger on the case. “Sure! Well, I guess that made it easy!” Marina chuckled as she was fished out along with the movie.
Setting the tiny elf down on the couch, he then slipped the disk in the system and sat down next to her, grabbing the remote. “Locksley, I’ll cut your heart out with a spoon!” Marina quoted randomly. With a strong laugh, Alex replied, “Why a spoon, cousin?” trying to sound as good as his character from the movie as her impersonation of Alan Rickman’s character. “Because it’s dull, you twit. It’ll hurt more!” She said with her imitation of his voice, finishing up the scene. “Something tells me that you’re ready for the movie already.” He chuckled as he pressed the play button off the menu and slunked deep into the sofa. The movie played on and on as time passed on. After a little while, Marina got a little chilled with the air conditioning. “You cold?” Alex asked as he looked down at her slightly shivering fame. “Just a little, I’ll be fine. I’ve slept through colder temperatures before in the woods.” Marina responded as she rubbed her upper arms to gain a little heat. Rolling his royal blue eyes at her, he picked her up and sat her down on his chest. Regaining her balance from the sudden movement, she felt his warmth underneath and quickly settled back down to continue the movie. “Why is she trying to feed that bat meat? That’s a Flying Fox bat. They eat fruit and nectar, not meat.” Marina said confused, knowing the animal. “Does it look like I know? I didn’t even know what kind it was, much less of what it ate…” Alex chuckled.
When the movie finished, it was quite late and they were both very tired. As Alex shut the tv off, he set the remote down and started to drift. “Okay, we better head off to bed before we fall asleep right here!” He said as scooped her up and headed to the room. Placing her down on the bed, he carefully climbed in and pulled the covers up. “Night.” Marina whispered as she laid down, falling asleep almost instantly. With a smirk, he answered back and gently placed his hand over her like a blanket. He then took his thumb and started to pet her long hair. Thinking, he thought about what she would look like if she were his size, a human. Blushing at the thought, his brain told him teasingly, “You like her! You like her!” Shaking his thoughts he too, eventually fell asleep, with her on his mind.
(Yeay! Chapter 2 is finally out! Man, these two had a long day! And it looks like Marina is starting to trust him... XD Hope ya'll enjoy! Hope ya'll have a blessed day and a magical week!)

Alrighty. Itz long so ya might wanna sit down... I'll try my best to keep it short.
Ever since I was a little girl, I was diagnosed with an interesting case of ADHD. I had the attention, not the hyper, part of the disorder. My attention was very hard to keep for many, as well as my thought pattern was considered scrambled. I had big dreams for my future, ones that I was mocked for, for ever believing that could happen to someone like me. I was always told by others that I could never make those dreams having ADHD, even by some teachers and adults. Those words bared down on me for some years, so long that I almost gave into those horrid words. I've been a Christian all my life and always will be, no matter what happens. One really rough day, I finally hit rock bottom, in a feeling of hopelessness, bottled up state, and thatz when I looked up to Him and asked what was to become of me, what was the purpose here on earth to someone who felt so alone, unsupported, and a total alien. This song came out and really spoke to me. The Lord explained through those beloved lyrics of the song that I need to listen to what He tells me, not the ones in the world, for his words are the ones that really matter over all. He loves me for me and through my everything in between, even my flaws. You can say I had a lot of soul searching and talking with the Lord. He picked me back up, dusting me off. I listened to this song for many years, and still going as my personal theme song. I'm proud to say that I have proven all those words that people have told me wrong, through pushing myself harder and actually succeeding in my studies. I'm now a successful college student that keeps surprising people. That song getz me through all of my hardships, and reminds me to remember that He is greater than he who is living in the world.

I agree. That's all I can really say. I and no other human can fathom how much God loves us!!!! It's really crazy to think that out of everyone in the world, god created me for an individual purpose. I get through every rough day of middle school by singing His songs. I love Him sooooooooooo much!!!!! After all once we are saved, we are holy, righteous, and redeemed.
One question. Are you Baptist or not? And if not which one are you? Just curious.

Amen! I love the Lord, He loves me and He is good. XD I guess I never really thought about what kind of Christian my family are... And because of that, I can't really say with 100% confidence of exactly which. If yer that curious, I go to CAV, or Church at Viera, in Florida. The church has a website that if ya want to check it out and explore...
