Description I tried using a new oil painting technique and of course the influence was Mark Ryden, Tara Mc Pherson-ish. I liked how it worked out. Will have to try this technique again.

I just used regular student grade Windsor & Newton Oils. I kinda use a glazing technique with Krylon Crystal Clear.

The overall tone of this piece is great. Such a grouchy little girl.

ok so.. let's go for the crits XD

here i have nothing to say on the "style", because that's very personnal and sensible in the touch of the brush etc...
the colours are well managed, u understand how do the shadows and the lights have to work together, alternating and putting each next to the other to give a good relief.
but! to be picky (that's the interesting point XD) take care with ur teapot, it seems to be a bit... difformed! as if it was broken, or if it doesn't really stand on the table. so take care with ur ellipses, even if u draw something not so realistic, they have to work together. the spoon seems to be flat, (i mean the part with which u pick some tea, not the handle), she's not hollow enough, u should put more shadows into. the sugar pot is like the teapot. it doesn't stand on the table, it's not on the same plan.
anyway u did a very good job on the lightening around the girl, that's not realistic but it works very well
the less good parts are on the crockery, ellipses are really hard to draw well, without perspective errors.. so u have to work on it ^^

that's what i see on this drawing
hope it helps ^^
