Oh, this makes me mad, too. D: I have some bases that I've worked really hard on, and no one uses them, and if they do, they make them look really bad. I take a lot of time on all of my edits. One of them took days. And I still have a whole lot of room for improvement. So, seriously... People should take their time with bases.

I think this is why so many people are against bases. They think it's cheating, but it's not. It's another form of art. It's the people who make crappy dolls on bases that are cheating. That's disrespectful to the original artist, but if you can make something look good on a base, more power to ya, I believe!

I know the feeling when it comes to bases not being used. I've worked on bases for months and the people that do use them, turn them into pure shit. So I'm hoping the people that have used my bases look at this for..inspiraton

That's the truth. That's also the reason why base makers take their bases down permantly, so everyone can't us them. Yes, poorly done dolls on bases is cheating and practically a disgrace against hard work.

Yeah, I was really proud of my first multi-person base, but only one person's used it so far. ;A; And I know what you mean. Hopefully, they do try harder, seeing that crappy work compared to your greatness... I want to doll like you... ;n;

I've found that the only base that anybody's ever used well of mine is my Chain Base. And nowadays, that's the only one people use. And I get more crappy edits on it than anything else. Those people who make all the crappy dolls really do give hard workers a bad name. I hate it when people spend hours on something, and then they get bashed just because they used a base... It's annoying.

Ohmygod. I know the feeling. My Katio and Miku base is a very popular base right now. And when people do use the because the outcome isn't so pretty. Us base maker are giving the pixel community because the childish base users poorly use them. I guess that's why people take their bases off dA in the first place. I felt bad for some of my favorite artists leaving here because of awful work done by unexperienced and lazy artists.

They're way better than mine. I saw a base you used, and the base was CRAP, but you made it look totally awesome, and I was like, "Wow, she has so much patience and skill... *jelly*" And I've been trying to get better, but... D:

I should go look for that one and use it just so that you can have a doll on it that isn't completely shitastic. XD
I would never give up basework, though... Even if most people don't know how to properly use a base. It's just too much fun, and dolling is what I do to relax. It's a shame that some of the better people take their work down just because of the myriad of bad ones. We need to look at their amazing work to stay sane in this sea of stupidity! ;A;
I mean, some of my work is awful, but... I'm not lazy. OTL I try to get better, and I upload my crappy work because I think someone will come across it and tell me how I can improve. You have to try, lazy asses. You have... to try.

I could never give up base work and dolls either. Its been my life..for, like, almost two years now. I can't imagine my life now without it. It gives artists a chance for self-expresion and perspective of life. Dolling is a great way to relax, I agree. Especially when I'm listening to music at the same time. I may space out, sometimes, but it really makes me calm and chill. Yes, yes. Trying will help people imporve, absouletly. I think your dolls are really good. Better than some of the others I've seen. I know you've taken the time to make them perfect (:

Oh, my gosh! That's just like me! Well... it hasn't been almost two years. It's been about a year and a half because I didn't take dolling very seriously at first. Dolling also gives the people who can't draw very well a chance to show the world their artistic visions. And dolling and drawing should both be equally accepted as art forms. I'm always trying to improve at both.
Ah, yes. I like listening to music when I doll, but sometimes, I just get in my zone and forget to turn my music on. XD Sorry, Billy Joel. ;A;

I'm sure your two year mark will be exciting. Technically, in febuary, it'll be my second year. I just round up the time because people are so awestruck when I tell them I've been doing dolling for only a year and a half. But, anyway, yeah, music really clears my mind and gives me new ideas to go along with the base. Sometimes if I really like the song and it goes along to the dolls, I'll put the lyrics in it to give it..pizzazz. My drawings skills are completley different from my actual drawing skills. I'm left handed, so my traditional drawing is all chibi and cartoonish, while, on the other hand, my digital art is done with my right hand. It's complicated XD

Ah, I don't really know when my second year'll be. XD I'll probably just call it my second year whenever I feel like two years have passed. Well, the best way to check is to find your very first doll and find the date on it. That's what I do to see how many months its been so I know how much I've improved or not. Sometimes I cry at my old things. It's really, really sad /sobbb/ ;^;

I lied... I started taking dolling seriously almost a year ago, but my first doll was posted two years ago. I don't want to go back to that part of my gallery ever again. ;A; It's so scary to think I was actually that bad at one point in time. *slinks away*

It depends on the base, to tell you the truth. I've edited many bases..I plan to upload them soon when I get permission from the original base makers.

I know that feeling. That's why I made my 'Then & Now Bases' folder, so I don't stumble upon them in my Dolls. They are sad to look at. The clothes, the hair. I died yesterday. I forcred myself to look at them >.<

I've tried doing green hair, it just doesn't work for me. I like real hair colors (ie brunette, blonde, black, red, etc). Ah, the amazingness of genetics. Lexi died her hair, it was originally black, from her mother. Yes, the rainbow goth..that's, like, an oximoron XD Awww, Irma loves you too~~

Definetly. I have too many OCs with crazy hair colors. Jamie has red, Riven has magenta, Melinda has pink, Lexi has magenta (obviously XD), Irma we know has purplish red, Musa has deep blue, Morphine has purple. The list goes on and on. Ikr? I like shading, actually. I just don't like the outcome of my shading. ;A; It always turns out wrong. Especially the shading on clothes. I love green-haired characters. You don't see many of them, you know? It's always blue or reddish or purple for weird hair colors. Nobody thinks of green. But maybe you'll find that character that green just works for, one day. ^^

A lot of my OCs for KHR! have crazy hair colors. :'D Crazy hair is just so fun~ I also started creating this universe, and the first two characters had normal-ish hair: black with cyan gradient stripes and reddish brown. Then, somehow I ended up with the rest of them having pink, silver, and neon green. Like... the hell?! XD
She does? Is your mom a hairdresser or something? My mom's definitely not. XD Whenever she cuts my hair, it always comes out uneven.

I like shading too, don't get me wrong. It just annoys me sometimes, depending on the size of the base and the character I'm forcing myself to do. No, you don't see too many green haired characters anymore. There needs to be more Maybe I'll create one with green locks one day //sigh..

That's how I started. Before, Irma was a ginger but then died her hair that redish purple color with the white. Blame her stylist XD His name is Calvin ^^ Yuup. My mommy is a professional hairdresser I'm so lucky lucky XD Get it stitched. Or tattooed. That'd be sooo cool

Aww, I probably won't do great, but I'm sure it'll be better than a lot of people's. I started going through some of those comments on your bases, and wow... People really abused them. ;A; I'll use your Kaito and Miku base~ But I'll probably have to take the hair off it. I don't have characters with hair like that... Hm...

Yeah. Bases that are too big or too small are hard to shade, I think. I'm working with a really big base, but all of the characters are tiny. It's a base of 38 people, so... But it's so annoying to try to shade them properly. ;A;
There needs to be more green-haired guys. I've got, like, one, and only his bangs are green. OTL

I've been trying to read Things Never Change so that I can get up-to-date with Irma so that all your other Irma stories will actually make sense to me! I'm on chapter 3 of that, I think.

Yeah, some of my bases really suck also, but that's part of being a doller. You're supposed to edit the base to make it work for you. D: People don't get that... Oh, thank you. Seeing the differences between Judaism and Christianity is hard for me, and I know that might be offense to some people, but honestly, the only difference I know of is that Jewish people don't think Jesus was the actual Son of God, and Christians do... Of course. Over timme, you soon come to realize that your base making skills improve. So does shading. I use a lot of tutorials for shading. I can't do shading right if my life depended on it, but I'm still doing my best. //sigh.. Np~~ I understand. One day I want to do this base but the next I have the sudden urge to another amazing one. I understand completely. Don't get me started with bases in MY favorites. There..are..too many...

You could never forget her bases. They're done so perfectly. I love them, I'm just hoping she'll put some new ones up soon though. She has only, like, six or seven. That idea sounds..interesting. I've never thought of doing that because each of my characters has a different style and their clothes are specifically made for them, not others. Unless I decide to sell them. I have too many OCs too, don't feel bad. Music helps the mind..(:

None taken. I love GwPH much better than TNC. Its because its narrative. I tend to do that much better than perspective. Usually. But, Powers Never Change (the second installment after TNC) is somehow "better" than the first. That's what my other readers say. Who knows? You'll be the judge soon enough When I was growing up and first discovering Winx Club, Irma was a partial winx fancharacter. And yes, she does change as the story progresses. The ironic thing about the titles of the story (Things/Powers Never Change) is that the characters and everything else does change. It's not you, trust me ^^

I'm actually half Jewish, but my wonderful mother likes to believe we're full, 100% Jewish. The difference is hard for me too. I really didn't understand that part of the lesson in World Geography Well, in the Jewish Bible, or whatever it's called, Jews think that God isn't born yet and stuff like that. Yeah, I don't go to temple or read the tora either. I guess my family and I are just very..spiritual. We believe in God, we just don't go bible thumping. My sister was an aithist for, like, an hour a few months ago XD

Yup! Practice makes perfect! I just look at other people's shading and wing it. :'D Haha~ I've been trying to go through my favorites and use all the bases from oldest favorite to newest, but... I just keep collecting new ones. D:

Oh, I know! I want her to upload another one, too... She makes the best group bases ever. They must take her a really long time. D; Aha, well, that's the fun part about it. XD Because people tend to look better in their own clothes, swapping their outfits makes for quite the interesting picture! Oh, I don't feel bad about it. It's just so much to keep track of! Yes, first person can be pretty hard. I tried experimenting with first person. It's difficult to put more description than character thought into the story. And I'm sure PNC is better because you improve as you write, right? So, it would make sense that, since you wrote that one second, it is better than TNC. (:

I think he's too powerful for a human form... I think he's just a big, radiant, talking light that blinds you when you look into it. I go through my base and doll favorites at least three times a week because I collect so many thing. Sure, if I love a base I download it but it really depends on the base. If it pertains to my OCs, then yes. If its something crazy, I put it in my favs and sit on it for a few..hours XD

Yeah, those base can take a while. Like the lucky star one she totally remastered. That would take me a week, I swear to god. I've always wanted to try that but I've never found the time and paitence to do :c MTrench + dolling. Yes. Just, yes. Especially when you're dolling a sexy base and listening to Shake Tramp XDDD

First person, goooosh. It totally..sflkjskjlahf's me. I can never describe an astonishing thing when it comes to first person. It always sucks. But with narrative I kick the bloody ass out of it. We can be close sometimes. But that doesn't usually happen nowadays. She's very..high matience and likes doing things. On the other hand, I'm low matience and I rather sit around and sleep. We're night and day. Sadly. Although, I'm glad she's my mom. She takes care of the laundry, cooking, cleaning, lunch money, birthday/christmas/hanukkah/Easter gifts, doctor/dentist appointments, oh, and my favorite, being my driver. When I'm eighteen, I'm probably going to New York or somewhere far from home, in Florida. It's going to be very weird for me doing my own thing for myself without her. I'm actually scared of being on my own. That's why I'm trying to have the time of my life before I become a "grown up."

One of my things on my private bucket list is to go jewish bible thumping. No joke. I want to see people expressions. One time at my middle school, random people from the high school across the street were giving out bibles. It was weird. Wow, I never knew that about God. I learned something new today. Thanks. I don't doll that much anymore just because I'm always working on a million other projects. OTL I have so many pictures that need to be scanned and colored, and then I have a huge 400 chapter writing project I'm in the middle of. Then, there's the videos for YouTube... So I'm bogged down all the time, and my base collection just grows and grows and grows. XD

Yeah. I have dolls that take me a really long time, but... I couldn't imagine spending that long making a base. OTL I haven't heard that one yet, but I'll have to put it on whenever I find a sexy base to use. ;D

I have a story I want to write in first person to experiment with it a little bit. The more you play with it, the better you get at it. In my story, I'm going to have different characters narrarate depending on the chapter/situation. It should be fun to play around with the "voices" of all the different characters~

" It was pretty great. XD Ah, I don't know if it's true or not. Like I said, it's just my theory about what God is like. But it's true that angels, at least very powerful ones, cover their eyes with their wings. They have 6 wings. Two for flying, two to cover their eyes, and two to cover their feet because feet are dirty. Dude, I went to a Catholic church, and I felt so out of place. XD I wasn't sure what they were talking about or where the responses were, so I just kind of mumbled along with everyone else and hoped I didn't look too stupid. :'D

I working on the current Irma adventure (Metamorphosis), dolling bases thatgo along with it, creating new characters for chapters to come, trying to ome up with ideas/situations for The Girl with Purple Hair, plus trying to find a place for community service hours, and the list goes on and on.

In general, I just hate big bases. And if they're too big, I have to resize them and that takes time out of what I love doing best.

That's why Irma isn't the only narrator in my many stories. If it was only her, I would have some issues because she isn't the best describer XD That's why I try to mix it up a bit with some of my OCs taking over every once in a while. But I love it when I write in third person, you get to descibe how everyone's feeling and not just the current character.

Yes, Florida. American's frying pan, as I like to call it. Please. I'd give anything to go live with the real devil. Up here in the nice mortal world, the current Satan is living right across the hall from me. My my sister is a demon Ohhh~~ I'd give anything to live in Indiana. It's nice and cool there, isn't it? //envies~ Thanks, I hope so too.

Oh, father's. What are you gonna do 'bout 'em? My father, on the other hand, is very..practical. He'd do stuff like your dad but probably add, like, ten curse words into it. Plus he'd get out his yamica and start singing hannahkua songs. (Like we have any?) XD Wait..six wings?? Those angels have issues on dirt and germs. No offense angels who look over us and give us hope and wisdom and whatnot XD

This base is actually quite small. It's just the number of people that gets me. XD And I've never tried resizing a base because I'm too lazy.

Yes, that's always a good idea. I love doing that. Writing in different characters' voices is A) good writing practice, B) good character development practice, and C) a lot of fun! XD Third person is fun, but you don't always get to describe how everyone is feeling. While it's easiest to do it that way, there is a way to write it where you can only see into one character's head and a way to write it where you can't see into anybody's head at all.

Aha, my sister is pretty bad also. XD Indiana is nice and cool... in the fall and winter. The summers are really hot and really humid. But I bet it's better than being in the heat and the humidity all year round, like you are.

My dad tries not to curse around us kids. I'm not sure if he does it when we're away, but I don't think he does. It would be cool if you had hannahkua songs. XD You should teach me some~

Its like all my friends from different school and parts of the US have reading assignments over the summer. Sorry to say I don't..all I have is gaining 40 community service hours I need to start already.. ><

Oh, well, yes. That base is just big in width. I'm fine with width, not..length. My arch enemy /shot XD Resizing can be enjoyable, sometimes, maybe..on occasion..

I like writing in different pov's because my characters are different and have unique takes on life. Like, Irma is very sarcastic and likes to add her own little comments to the subject we're facing. Then there's my OC Helia. He puts a smart and optimistic twist on things. Okay, yes. So in third person not everyone's feelings are mentioned. For me, I sometimes fail the third person thing. I have to work on that.. /shot///

Sisters..ack DX I rather live that than this enternal hell. Actually, it gets cool here sometimes in december, january, febuary and sometimes march. If we're lucky that is.

Yes. (: It's very cool. I'm going to write a story in first person with POV switches, and one character writes very formally and in past tense, while another has sloppier writing and writes in present tense. And it's actually okay to show everyone's feelings in 3rd person! I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the way you do it. I was just saying that there's oter ways to do it, also. You can keep doing what you're doing, though~ I actually really like to see into as many characters' heads as possible!

No, Jesus has no problem with the ground we walk on. It's just a normal thing. All of society thinks feet are dirty, and back then, in the middle east, they wore sandals or walked around barefoot all the time, so their feet did get very filthy. God/Jesus doesn't care what we look like on the outside. Feet being dirty is just common knowledge that's been around for forever.

Gosh~~ First person is like my life. Right now I'm working on a redo of a story I wrote a year ago. It's going to be perspective all the way, with a few other pov's from the second main character. I don't touch horrible bases. XD If I like a certain pose, but I can't find a good base for it, I draw it myself.

Me too~~ You get use to the heat after a while. Just keep sunblock, hats, flip-flops, short shorts, and tanks tops handy. In 90-100 degree weather, you do not want to wear jeans and a turtle neck. You will get heat stroke

Ohmygod~~ I love TVLand. They show Golden Girls. That show may be a little older but I love it

I've been meaning to research apocolptic stories and try to come up with my own. I find that idea to be really interesting. Like if an infectious chemical got out of control and destroyed a big city and soon the country and then the entire world. But, you know, just a thought. Setting, well, I like the mid-2000s since we grew up in that era and know a lot about the history. I'm not so sure about the future, like past 2012 because I'm not sure what's going to happen but that's where creativity comes in I guess. My favorite genres are action, adventure, ...erotic, fiction, fantasy, romance, and thriller.

They're really interesting, and I love reading and writing them~ I like that idea! It's kind of like a nuclear war, only... this chemical kind of gets a mind of its own and goes crazy and destroys everything, except a few people who survive. I already have an idea for a character. :'D We could make the setting 2012, too. I mean, the world is supposed to end in December, and there can't be many things that are invented before then. So, we could take all the things we know now and put them into the story. Ah, you enjoy romance? I've been working on finding ways to write stories with as little romance in them as possible because I think it's overused. XD But we can have some romance in there if you'd like~ I actually have two or three character ideas, and all of them are guys, sooo...~ I like the idea of a thriller, but I'm not sure how we'd do it. We'd need an antagonist of some sort. Maybe an antagonist team...?

The chemical gets a mind of its own..amazing! I never thought of it that way. That sounds great. Maybe the people that do survive are apart of a rebelion and want to get out of the city they are in and try to find any other remaining survivers. The setting in 2012 sounds good, maybe a little after 2012. Like the real 2012. 2013 with a toxic chemical killing people and restarting the world. That's just a thought. I think a romance would be something on the side. Like the main character with the right hand man/woman. Which ever. For the antagonist maybe there are a few survivers apart of the rebelion that want out and want to kill the leader I'm just spitballin' here..

I don't know about a rebellion... I mean... it shouldn't be too hard to get out of the city. It's just a chemical, right? And chemicals don't actually have minds. The thing just goes wild and goes against its creators. That's what I meant. And it's a struggle for them just to stay alive every day, so getting an army together would be kind of hard. For antagonists, I was thinking a duo who wanted to harness the energy of the chemical and use it to... like you said, restart the world, only make it the way they want it. They'd be power-hungry monsters, but with some good qualities, and maybe later in the story, they'd turn on each other!
The only reason I don't really like your rebellion idea is because A) I'm already working on a story with a Rebellion going on, and B) I like to think smaller groups when I think of post-apocolyptic things. Every man for himself, unless that man is nice enough to bring a friend or two along with him! Know what I'm sayin'?

What if the chemical transfered itself to a machine so it could roam and do actual human things? Like making soldiers and creating laws for instance. Food and clothes and weapons are very hard to find, so that's why a rebellion should stay together. So they can keep each other safe and out of harms way. Plus there aren't all going to be men, right? There should be woman, who are, sadly to say, not a big help with guns and weapons at times. Sorry, ladies.. Ohhh..okay I see what you're saying about the rebellion. Every man for the self..I like that. Usually I don't, but seeing that's its a post-apocolyptic state, I think it sounds great. I think a few friends sound good. 2 men/1 girl, 2 girls/1 man, 3/3?? Not sure. We're cool for spitballin'..
