If you get offended by this. Fine. I don't care. Unwatch me, unfavorite my work. Go right ahead. I won't mind. Just hear me out.I'm not one to judge, so I'm not going to be pointing any fingers. Have any of you guys just stopped and looked at some of the submitted base work? I have. It's pathetic. Really. It is. Do you guys see how much time the left took me? That's sad. That's really, really sad. What about the right, huh?
I'm very upset with people. Can I use the word abuse here or not? I'm not sure. Still, I'm not going to lie. I may have not used this certain base before, but, before my "incredible" and "beautiful" pieces came out this year, I was just like you guys. My work was purely shit.

But that's just me, back in the beginning of 2011. You know what I guys did to get better and where I am today (emphasis on right doll)? I practiced. I found detailed tutorials. I experimented with colors, that may look bad now. But trust me, their going to be your friends soon enough. And another thing I do? I ask people. I have the nuts to go up to people and ask for their help.
Now, I know what you guys are going to do now. You're going to comment below on how stupid and how fucking wrong I'm being. Well, like it or not, I'm right in the end. And, I know. You're not going to become an amazing dolling artist in one night. It's going to take some time. Look at me now. It's been a year for me. More than a year, in fact. Look how I've imporved. But don't just take my word for it. Go explore the world, folks. Get involved in groups, make some friends here, ask people for advice every now and then.

I make bases, and use them. I have had accounts on this site for up to four years. All of my work did suck (so bad that I had abandoned those accounts) X3 But we must never give up, never surrender!

I love practicing. I like using bases, but sometimes I don't submit them. It makes good practice, since some of the shading isn't always good and I improve sometimes. Shading is my weakness.

You're totally right about everything you said, I mean I started out like the leftactually way worse but I ended up getting better after looking at tutorials and trying different things. I used to ask sometimes for people's help or thank them for their tutorials and I ended up being okay c:

I think we all started out on the left, but that's just my opinion. Yeah, tutorials and palettes really saved my ass back then. If I didn't have them, I wouldn't still be on here. I asked people every now and then for advice and which programs to use. MS Paint for life, bby~~

We all had hard times. But now we're better and still learning. No one is ever done learning something new. I use some tutorials, some I find are useful. *Mellow-Match has this great hair/shading tutorial~~

Effort is key, my friend. And practice. Practice, practice, practice. Sometimes I use a base and don't submit it because I use it for..practice. And, ironically,I'm still learing to use bases as well. People just don't comprehend the fact that these skills take time. It won't happen atuomatically. Lazy? Yes..

this annoys me too cuz even thoe i use to be like this and my base art did improve BUT, there is base artist that NEVER improved unlike most base artist did and it annoys that they been on for months summiting the same crap from the first to last sumit
