Thanks for 5,000 everyone! This is my celebratory piece for it....fairly non-traditional and there's no sparkly message on it but hopefully the cavorting panda makes you *feel* like there's happy funtimes.Autodesk Sketchbook...yay!

Would you say Sketchbook is better than or the same as painter? Just wondering, I am trying to figure out wich one to get.

Painter is much more powerful and gives you more options for both drawing and painting. Sketchbook is very bare bones and really specializes best in drawing (not painting, though it does a good basic job, you just can't get very fancy with the types of brushes, textures, etc).
I love Sketchbook most for drawing....I never got quite used to Painter but I know it is much more versatile if you need to paint. It has a much greater range than Sketchbook.
Sketchbook is very limited it just does very very well with sketching/ drawing.

Yea as a pencile artist it sounds like I should go with Sketchbook instead. Your advice was very helpful, thank you.
Perhaps I will get painter later on and then I will really be kicking some butt. LOL
But right now sketchbook sounds better to me. ^^ Dose it come with a video on how to use it?
