Description
Taken from Fern Hill in Queenstown which is in the south island of New Zealand.I took this last night after the storm had cleared... there was around 15cm of snow accumulated in around an hour. The clouds hung around for a while so I couldnt get any shots... until I noticed the clear skies before bed. I hopped in my car and drove up the road to one of my little spots to take this.
I thought it was a perfect opportunity to take my submission to the =PanoramaClub s competition Long Exposure Panoramas (my idea!)
Im happy to say that it won! No prizes just a feature with =PanoramaClub - Im just stoked on winning my first comp!
I also entered it into =MountainShots competition which I tied for first!
It is 8 photos over 2 levels, merged together using PTGui Pro.

Oh and by the way... its my 100th deviation!!

You merged together 8 photos, how focal length did you use?
However, the "panoramic" effect is wonderful, like you had used a panoramic camera!

What do you mean about the city not being behind? This is on Fern Hill in Queenstown, New Zealand. Queenstown is to the left, what is infront is just houses in one of Queenstowns' suburbs.

Okay it wasn't easy but this is the one I am going to order after the holidays. Since it is already a print all I will have to do is order. This is going to be so nice to have. It will make me calm when I want to go to sleep. I need that. I can just stare at the scenery until I get sleepy. So I will be ordering after Jan 1.

I had left Queenstown about a week before....
