The way i see it, a lot of the artistic side of nudes is expressing it creatively... and not just... you know, calling it art just cause it IS naked...

I would highly recommend you turn on your mature content filter, as those of us that contribute to the art nude gallery would rather not receive such comments. If you don't like nudes...don't look at them.

yea. moderator just threw me a link with rules and how to turn on my mature content filter.. I never said I hate nudes, I just don't like this one. I swear some mods need to look at peoples gallery's. I have a folder of faves just of nudes. But this one just isn't all that great to me.
There is nothing special about it besides her posing with clothes.
I can do that too, and I can assure you I'd never get a DD for something like this. /:
The moderators dont look at anything unless it's a hot chick. I see numerous naked male pictures, and they never get the attention they deserve.

Maybe. I still dont see whats so wonderful about the picture. and the mod had no right to whine about my taste in nudes. Going as far as to tell me to turn the content filter on is retarded. I bet the mod dosnt look at half of the peoples galleries when they send them this rule bs.

I see the artistic side of this, and I like it, but I'm just not feeling the art in her being nude. There's a DD of a nude woman every few days it seems, and while it is nice to see one that's a least got a sense of style, I just feel that the nudity isn't necessary.
I think I can say with some decisiveness that if there's boobs, it's popular, and I'd like to see a departure from the use of nudes to gain views. Not saying this fine photographer is doing that, necessarily, but I'd like to see more creativity in her 'attire.'

i have to say that this is one of my favorite shoots in my career. it would rank in the top 20 for sure. i love the feeling that erica portrayed and trusted me to capture.
i could care less about the nudity other than the nudity adds to the story i was trying to portray.
i have to tell you i am a 30 plus year working professional, i am published in close to every major magazine in the last 20 years. i am at DA because i want to share my images and get some feedback because i really do care how people respond to my work.
i shoot nude images. thats my job. i don't care at all about page views other than as a part of the measurable reaction to an image.

Yes, there is a nude dd every day. Sometimes, there are 2, as there are 2 GMs for the art nude gallery. You might also see nudity in features from the fetish gallery, glamor, horror & macabre, and occasionally a few others. Now, consider this. Today? There were 26 daily deviations today. That number ranges. Sometimes 20, sometimes 40, depending on how many GMs have a DD scheduled. Today, in particular, there are two deviations with nudity. Out of 26. At max, there are 5 DD's containing nudes. That is a very, very minimal percentage of works being given a feature.
The point of this is NOT that she's nude. That's just what made it possible for me in particular to feature it. It's well lit, well composed, and all around a great piece. Having spoken with Mark in the past, and being a nude photographer and model myself, I can assure you, we're not doing it to "gain views." I could care less about page views, actually. Believe me, if I could keep people from commenting like many here have on my work? I would. But I would loose all the good comments too. Just something to think about.
Sometimes, it really is about the art, not a popularity contest...

yes, her face is the main thing that stands out to me. to me it's as if she's been through so much. even though this is my first time seeing a shot of her, she's a sensational lady. i wish i was a sensational lady.

I seen this in 'Daily Deviations' and being a guy I'm not ashamed or embarrassed to say her large breasts caught my attention.
Overall I think the color tones/lighting make the whole picture easy to look at though. She looks quite pretty but personally I think it would have been sexier if she was wearing a lacy bra though.
Ohh and the female reply's to this artists work make me laugh though. It's like a mixture of hypocrisy and jealousy.
