Grass blades waved at the passing wind as the green meadows of the forest bean to awaken. Small chirps and the starting of serenades echoed through the trees by the mocking birds. Rays of sun glinted through the forest canopies as another creature began to rouse in its cave. Moist algae covered the cave as the droplets from recent storms leaked through the boulder cracks. The creature yawned and stretched its leathery wings, cute paws, and large body. The creature widened its maw as it yawned again and stepped out of the cave's mouth.

The young dragon sat by the entrance and sniffed a bit. It looked very lonely and just stared at the sky longingly. The dragon stretched his wings as they began to flap. With one powerful motion, the shimmering black dragon took off into the sky looking for a nice place to go or at least something to eat. The creature smiled as the wind streams rose against its wings and the white clouds parted for its dark form. Green tree tops were all the dragon could see as he headed for the middle of this giant green 'sea'.

The bright azure rays of sun refracted through the leathery wings of the dragon as it flew on. A smile stretched across the creature's face as the forest springs came into view. Like natural mirrors, the springs and waterfalls shimmered brilliantly in the bright light. The dragon flew through the air towards them excitedly. The springs were the softest and cleanest source of water in the forest and the young dragon just drooled at the sight of them. It landed several meters away from the waterfall and sighed contently. The male dragon had been feeling extremely lonely and depressed, but had looked forward to visiting the springs today and relaxing.

The dragon smiled a bit as he came and rested by the grassy shore and clawed a few fish that wandered close to him. The dragon let his slick, fleshy tongue out and began lapping up some water with deep purrs. Several 'Mhmm' sounds and more purring hums got louder as the dragon lapped up more enthusiastically. Purple eyes watch curiously but angrily through the blue-tinted waterfall. The young dragon continues to slurp and lick up the yummy water, unaware of his enraged watcher.

The dragon finished drinking and sighed with a smile. He curled up by some of the larger lake boulders and purred cutely. A very soft growl escaped the waterfall as the eyes moved into the water. The smaller dragon purred as he flexed his wings and just stroked his paw in the water absently. The wind picked up again a little as the small body of water just started moving and swishing back and forth softly. The black dragon smiled at this soft motion as he hummed to himself.

It all had happened so fast after that. Jets of water wrapped around him tightly as a solid rope would. The dragon cried out in ear as he was held above the blue lake. He searched everywhere with his eyes but could not see anyone or…anything that was doing this. The purple eyes from the waterfall emerged as the shimmering blue form of a much larger dragon appeared from beneath the flowing liquid. The large water dragon smiled mysteriously at the younger dragon as he swam underneath him. "Look what I caught floating about, he-he", the larger creature cackled.

"P…please, m...Mister Dragon sir…" the smaller dragon cried. "Aww, what, are you scared little dragon? You know, no one drinks from my lake unless they pay the price!" The younger dragon sniffed, "B…But wait I'm a…a dragon like you, why would you hurt your own kind." The water dragon smiled, "Because you're smaller and you violated my lake, plus…you look tasty…" he said with a lick. "What?! No! P…Please, don't eat me…" the small dragon screamed.

The water dragon smiled and slid his wet tongue over the poor creature's muzzle and neck, "Mmm but you taste so…mouth-watering and hot!" The small dragon just whimpered and started to cry as he was tasted. The blue, pretty dragon smiled evilly as he widened his drooling maw and hung the other dragon over it, causing him to scream. "Please mister dragon! I didn't do anything...", tears of horror streamed down his face as he stared into the wet mouth ridden with hungry and flesh, slimy drool, and the ever pulsing opening of the dragon's gullet. The water dragon giggled slightly as he dropped the smaller dragon into his maw with a yummy slurping sound. The black dragon yelped and thrashed all about like a storm as the large tongue of the other dragon slurped around every part of him. The large dragon slid his tongue across the creature's tummy and all around his legs with slurping moans.

As the tongue wrapped under him and around his tail, the dragon just cried tears of hurt while his upper body was squelched into the slimy gullet of the larger dragon. As more squishing sounds were heard, the small form of the dragon became less apparent as he disappeared more into the slimy throat of his predator. The water creature moaned loudly as he slurped up the rest of the dragon's tail and felt him slide down his wet gullet and vanish into his rib-cage. The young dragon squirmed with fear as his scaly body was squished and massaged down the slimy throat until he was pushed into the sloshing stomach. That drooling, wet tongue slid over his lips as the water dragon moaned happily and stroked his large tummy. "That was so yummy, I'm going to miss tasting him…" the dragon said with a burp. Jed just cried when he heard the creature's words. He was going to be painfully digested and there was nothing he could do.

"No…no one has ever cared about me…I just wanted a drink…I didn't know…" Jed felt a piercing pain in his chest as he wept in hurt and sadness. The water dragon smiled as he snuggled his gurgling tummy, but flinched a little when he heard the almost whispered cries and words of the small creatures within him. He felt the smaller creature curl up in his stomach and just go limp as the large belly gurgled and sloshed with its' acids.

The large dragon started to sniff and cry a little himself. Jed hadn't hurt him or caused any damage had he? He was just an innocent little dragon…who was thirsty. "What kind of monster am I…? He didn't ever hurt me…" he said as he began crying more vigorously. "H…he was kind of cute too, how could I just do that…to a kind little dragon?" He felt Jed not moving in his tummy as he wept and licked his large belly. The water dragon used his mental will to suppress any thoughts and actions to digest Jed as he hugged his belly. "J...Jed I'm so sorry…" he cried and just dove into his lake and swam towards the cave behind the waterfall.

The dragon quickly bolted into his lair and just cuddled his tummy worriedly. How could he have ever done such a thing?! Jed was probably terrified o...or dead. He cried more feverishly as he slowly regurgitated Jed onto his lap and wrapped his arms around him, hugging him closely. "J...Jed…" the dragon sniffed and cuddled him lovingly. Jed was unresponsive in the water dragon's arms, but was still breathing at the moment. The water dragon just held the little black form of Jed to him as he slowly drifted to sleep.

Night had fallen and the cool swishing sound of the cold water sounded in the background as the droplets leaked off the stalactites on the ceiling. The slick sound of wet stone and squeaky algae added to the noises around the water cave. Jed awoke with a start as he yelped a little and just blinked his eyes several times to adjust to the darker environment. Why was he still alive? Where were the squishy walls of the pulsing stomach? Jed sighed and then looked over as he flinched.

The water dragon had both of its paws around him and was hugging Jed's body to his chest as his tail curled around him. What was it doing? Was it saving him for later or just to be a simple taste toy? Jed shivered and just sniffed a bit. Why could no one love him or just show some affection to him? He had always tried to be nice and kind to creatures…and yet no one was nice to him. Jed just sniffed more and stared at the sleeping water dragon, wondering what his fate would be.

A few minutes past and the large dragon yawned widely and just opened his purple eyes as he smiled a bit at the morning air. He stretched his neck a little before looking down and noticing that Jed was staring right at him with the look of fear on his maw. The water dragon sniffed and licked Jed softly on the neck as he hugged the little black dragon close. Neither creature moved or said anything as they just looked at each other, one with fear and one with affection.

"J…Jed…I'm so very sorry. You must hate me. I didn't know what I was doing, well I…I did but. I'm sorry…" the water dragon said as he nuzzled Jed with a deep purr. Jed looked shocked for a minute as the dragon apologized and was showing him affection. "S…So you a…aren't going to hurt me?" The dragon shook his head, "N…No I promise I will never hurt you or try to do that to you again…I'm so very sorry!" Jed nodded a bit and put his arms around the dragon, "I just want something to care about me…I thought I was going to die!" The dragon could see Jed start to cry and that just made him feel worse.

"J…Jed please it's my fault and you aren't going to die. I…I will take care of you…I...I want someone to care for me too…" the water dragon said with several sniffs. "Y...you do? T…that would be so great….and I guess I deserved it for violating your lake." The dragon shook his head quickly, "No Jed that was immature of me, the lake is no one's but natures. I'm sincerely sorry and I will make it up to you anyway I can." Jed smiled a bit and licked back as the larger dragon blushed.

"He-he your tongue feels nice. Oh but I…I guess you would like to know my name. M…my name is Vivamus but you can just call me Viva", the large dragon said with a purr. "Thanks Viva, I'm glad that you're not going to kill me or anything." Viva sniffed and hugged Jed closer as his tail wrapped around his stomach. "I would never do that to you…never again. I'm glad that you are such a kind dragon. You showed me what affection could be like. I'm sorry again Jed." Jed sighed and licked Viva's muzzle as he wrapped his tail around him too and purred.

"Thank you…I…I forgive you Viva, just please promise to always care about me?" Viva giggled and hugged the young dragon. "I will always care about you. I hurt you and here you are already forgiving me…I couldn't ask for anything more. You're my closest friend, even though I've only known you for a day and I will love you like one", Vivamus said as he used his warm body to cuddle and hug Jed closely. Jed purred louder and smiled as the water dragon brought his wings over the two of them. "Sleep now Jed, I will keep us safe and we can talk tomorrow. You're an amazing dragon…and I'm glad that you're my friend…" Viva said with a smile before softly humming and nipping at Jed's ears. Jed nodded in agreement as he closed his eyes and wiggled his maw against Viva's neck and just yawned one last time before the two cute dragons dozed off to sleep.
