So this was an image i got to do for Botcon this year. it was a lot of fun and very different from what i normally do
i was asked if i could do the image in the style of rescue bots, which i said sure. then i was asked to come up with an image that could be divided up into 9 sections, each section having one character in. this was for a special card/poster that botcon made for people to get signed by the voice actors from rescue bots who attended botcon. i made the decision to have parts overlap into other but have the main image of each character in the center of their card section.
then i ask the ever so kind Mr. Josh Perez if he wouldn't mind throwing some colour onto this image. he was kind enough to do so, and i love how it turned out
i might in the future do another rescue bots piece, just more in my style since thats what i'm most comfortable doing

I wasn't asked to draw those characters on this piece.Β Botcon wanted only the characters I drew to be shown.Β I think it was due to they had all those voice actors at the con that year.

The reason Dani isn't in this pic is because this was made to promote the Rescue Bots cast appearance at Botcon, and Lacey wasn't there.

The humans' dotted eyes really look creepy, the 'Bots actually look like they can fight against the 'Cons, and not be blown to scrap.

Your usual artwork is so detailed that I can't help but ask: Do you find it harder or easier to draw more simplistic designs like that which was used in Rescue Bots?
