Description Had a drive about tonight and found this tree line. Was wondering if i should wait for a better sunset but figured with the current weather conditions we've been getting that could be some time.

PS7 - Usual levels, contrast and saturation adjustments AND also tried a little gaussian blur for the soft focus effect (i think it fits the shot quite well).

Comments welcome!

very good composition - the colors do not say that much (not for me anyway) so maybe you can try this one in black and white

Thanks for commenting, you're dead right, the colours don't do much for me either!! I'm a bit frustrated by my lack of decent shots i'm getting lately so submitted this in haste. I like the composition too and think that with the right/better sunset this could be a good shot. So with that in mind this shot is being moved to my scraps section. I shall return!!!!

Thanks but i'm not convinced by it. It will go into my scraps section and i will retake this shot another night with a better sunset.

I think the gaussian blur makes it seem a little more tranquil, which is good. Nice shot.

Thanks, i normally hate the idea of soft focus but then i realised that what i actually hated was the cheesey bucked toothed family portraits in soft focus. A tastefull portrait (which i will attempt soon) or a landscape/cityscape type shots really work with soft focus.
