2 layers used in PS - so I guess it must be a manip?
Just having a bit of a rummage about in the toybox here; still trying to get a proper handle on how transparency interacts
with reflections. D.Fog also seems to have quite an influence on the final effect too....

Thanks you very much for the great image and the parameter. I tried a lot of equations combo to get geometric pattern but end up with too much regularity or not enough, in my opinion you get the best balance... Because of the deep zoom it hard to navigate and modify the lighting but after playing with it for 2 weeks I end up with this tweak.

them is very impressive, as navigating them is quite tricky!
The blue lighting theme works very well with the glassy look.
Would be nice to see it here on dA though - as I'm no longer a member of
renderocity, I unfortunately can't see the fullview of your piece.
