I did quickly throw it into the mix once or twice, and yes, I'd agree, it is very fiddly...but that's what makes this so much fun!

Barnsley used as is is almost useless. You have to use the Julia variant with the correct coordinates, because not all the combinations give good answers. Have you looked here?

It is hard to find the coords, because there is always a critical zone (given other coords) for the remaining coordinate; under the value you get a "big thing" completely filled and if you pass it you get flat shapes or even nothing...
