Description
Mandelbulb 3D v1.8.6 Beta-3 test www.fractalforums.com/index.ph…Nothing particularly special fractal-wise here - AmazingSurf/SierpHilbert with some transforms/rotations - really just trying out
the new 'MonteCarlo' renderer in the latest beta of M3D. Results are really smooth and clean, but this took over
12 hours to render - about 3 in the normal mode! The new 'soft shadows' are very cool too imho....

I suggested the soft shadows and now the bokeh. But Jesse did.
And let's hope - the new hyper 4D Bulatov formula will come soon!

Soft shadows are something I asked Jesse about a couple of years ago,
great to see they've finally arrived!! Just need volumetrics now,
and I'll be perfectly happy!!
'4D Bulatov' - what's that then? - sounds intriguing Luca.

One of these days I must apply myself to digitally visualising some
of my fractal pieces as 'real-world' scenes.
Thanks for commenting, and glad you like my work!

This looks wonderful! I really love this piece, how all the warm and cold colors create a hopeful feeling inside the picture. But the 'fog' behind leaves a mysterious lead from this warmth, making it hard to make a decision to settle in peacefully.

Glad you like this one - I was trying for a sense of great scale here,
hence the heavy use of iteration fog. Think it'd be hard to 'settle
peacefully' anywhere here though....
Thanks!
