Description
After some time away, I finally got round to completing Chris Madden's Enterprise-F concept, the Dedication class.Β
Rendered in 3DS Max Mental Ray with some compositing in Photoshop; the background was also done in Photoshop.

Highly mind-savouring design concepts! Love the sleek graceful features, including the new white colour of the bussards, giving it a newer livery than the traditional red and blues of the Federation warp engines. She still has strong references to the Constitution refit which I can see why you might have done so: the Connie is the most original ship in Star Trek.
This Enterprise here certainly looks more modern than the Enterprises we are used to. I bet you she was very much established on the interior. Wonder what era she was launched in. May be the late 24th century or somewhere in the 25th century. Wonder what shes armed with? Pulse phaser arrays? Quantum torpedoes? Wonder what propulsion drive she has? Quantum slipstream drive maybe.
I have high regards for this ship and to be honest, sheβs one of the most elegant ships Iβve ever seen.

It's stuff like this that makes me sad they never moved forward in time with the franchise only back. That's a great design

This ship is both beautiful and majestically worthy of the name. It invokes memories of the Enterprise-A and with how sleek the ENTERPRISE-E was. Β Sure this is a concept and I'd love to see multiple views of her FORE, AFT, DORSAL, VENTRAL. Β This would make a great class for a PBEM.Β

The Enterprise-D design was meant to be majestic. The E design was meant to be sleek. Of all the fan-made starship classes that are meant to be enterprise material, Madden's Dedication is the only one that's equally both.
I won't quite call it perfect, but almost. With only two slight mods, the Dedication-class would be the most absolutely perfect design possible for a new Enterprise. The first is make the pylon's thicker. That's one thing I despised about the TOS Enterprise, The saucer and nacelles looked like they'd snap right off with the slightest nudge. And I actually would make it bigger. Not too big, but bigger than Madden's original.

Agreed, the pylons look a bit fragile imo. Maybe make them a bit shorter, too.
It'd be interesting to see more angles of this ship, especially side view would be interesting.

A nice concept actually but a little closer to the J in my opinion with the slender design you used.
The Odyssee might be the F - and its an awesome ship in STO this could well make a H or I - Version of it

Like some of my meshes.
I love to see very good 2D concept arts later as fantastic 3D meshes.

That is amazing, to say the least.
Maybe this could be a later Enterprise, like the "I" or something.

How could they have chosen the Odyssey over this? This is jaw-droppingly beautiful and one of the very best designs I've seen in all of Trek. This is a true and worthy successor to the famed and beloved Enterprise Refit!

I am really not fan of the 'bigger is better' idea, I absolutely hated the Enterprise-J, however I love this design. This has beautiful lines, one of the best 'classic' Enterprise designs I have seen in a long time. You truly have a great talent for design!

Wow! Awesome render. This is probably the best Enterprise-F design I've seen thus far. Granted, it has its issues (not big on the "duck butt" engineering section or the '50s tailfin nacelles), but she is definitely worthy "E" successor. Great Job!
