Description
This animal was originally planned to be the newly discovered argentinadraco, however I completely messed up the jaw anatomy (those mandibular arcs are surprisingly long). It was too late to fix the anatomy without making the entire drawing worse, therefore I decided to use it as testing ground for my first pterosaur. As you can see I wanted to put pycnofibers on the propatagium and, more sparsely, on the brachiopatagium (main wing). Birds do have feathers on their patagia for aerodynamic and thermoregulatory purposes, so in my opinion it is not impossible that pterosaurs were similarly equipped. I hope you enjoy the general look/style of this generic animal, future drawings of pterosaurs will have the same features (if not contradicted by the fossil record, of course). Feel free to make any kind consideration, suggestion or correction. No skeletal reference was used while drawing this, proportions and general anatomy are conceptual and random, do not consider it scientifically accurate.
