uh, they actually showed up earlier in episode 19 season 1Β Dreamscaperers, where the gang traveled in Stanley's mind. When dipper saw one of his flashback, that's when the bullies first appeared. although I thought it was a bit odd that Stanley wore glasses back then but in the latest episode a tale of two stans, he isn't wearing them.
