I'm pretty sure all political groups/denominations have their share of crooks. Lying, cheating, and stealing are all choices made by individuals. Your alignment doesn't determine all your choices.
Politicians in general have gotten real bad these days. They act like they have a high-paying job instead of being leaders of the country.
So, what you mean is Stan would make a good modern politician.
