Description This is a sculpt of a character from a much anticipated video game coming out this October called Brutal Legend. 'Eddie Riggs'. A rock-n-roll roady, guitar playing, axe swinging, demon killing hero played by Jack Black.
This was commissioned by Electronic Arts as a promotional give away. There will be 1000 of these produced.
This was sculpted mostly in Super Sculpey. The guitar was built out of Styrene plastic. I even mixed in some real chicken bones strewn throughout the base.
This stands 17" tall

I must concur with one of your statements to someone, the overall design of Eddie Riggs actually was based around Jack Black, he played a large part in the creative process much as he did with the movie "Tenacious D The Pick of Destiny".

That being said this sculpt is fantastic to quote Eddie Riggs it's a "Face Melter!". I almost wishyou'd done two of them just alike so you could have one plain and one painted. Excellent use of the brutal bones of the "Tainted Coil" territory to help him to be frozen in mid-air for this epic iconic freeze-frame.

I loved this game so much. It was a blast. When I saw this in the double fine store I placed an order right away. Expensive but well worth it. You did a fantastic job (captured the spirit of the character very well) and I am most definitely jealous of your skill.

Beautiful work as always Mark! As a guitar player myself, you did a very good and accurate job on the flying V style guitar. Great movement throughout the piece, oh, and nice touch with the chicken bones, haha!!

Thanks David. There was supposed to be steel diamond plate
on the raised face of the guitar but I couldn't
figure out how to do that in a uniform pattern.
