It's a lot about their anatomy but it's mostly about their awareness of the dynamic and subtle pose and how to portray that.
Kind of hard to explain but you know a good model when you see them move.Β

Do you start out with the same "bases" for most general poses, or does two hours include building the armature for the clay? I have only sculpted using Raku clay and polymer clay. I really disliked polymer despite the possibilities, but raku requires a kiln, so I don't sculpt with either now
