Graphite pencils on smooth Bristol:Size A2. Pencil grades 3B up to 7B, pencil eraser and retractable pencil eraser, cotton wool and Nylon paint brush and chamois leather for blending.

Amazing! The eyes are incredible and full of emotion. Amazing contrast, the transition from dark to light tone is smooth and natural looking. The hair is just stunning. You are truly among the great artists here on DA.

Thank you, i wanted to keep the tonal range within a grayscale range on this one. The eyes are very powerful on the reference so i really wanted to get them spot on and the hair was ... fun .. at times . I'm flattered and appreciative that you would say that, i think i'm a long way from there but i'm enjoying the journey all the same

that bristol paper, you just can't beat it............I recon it's the best in the world for drawing on

Thank you, hair is always an ongoing learning experience for me as it is with so many others, i would say that it is all down to experimenting and see what works and what doesn't
