To my attention
That these many days
On the trail
Marked by failure
Marred by poison
Skin erupted
In sore lesions
Are purpose
Filled
Daughter of my youth
To see your face today
Holding you close
For a vapor’s moment
Fills my eyes
Full
With oceans of joy
Their waves
Deliver gifts
And riches
Beyond Words
I say with confidence
Today
Our garden
Has yielded its fruit
It's been a couple of months since we've seen our daughter and she came by today....with her kooky dog
Isn't it cool how a garden will turn poop into something lovely, like flowers or fruit?

It is often difficult for the viewer of a small image on a screen to fully absorb the length and depth of the evolutionary process that is involved in creating a painting.

This has been through a few iterations. I chose the size for a landscape (horizontal).....started painting and changed my mind and turned it vertical. The paints were more of an experiment to see how they might work on gesso. Water colors and gouache are easy to manage, and took many glazes. The colors shifted (faded), so I lightly "oiled" the piece with water soluble oils to punch it up. They are only ok to work with (sticky), but they do not need flammables to thin. It will need another coat of water soluble linseed oil....let it dry for several months...then top coat
