it's very interesting to know your experience with flumo as i'm also very interested in this new material ! It's not very famous here in france, it's very hard to find information about how to use it and the technical process (step by step), thank you for sharing this !^^

flumo is good to use as a training before working with porcelain. It helps to learn the process of making ideal plaster molds and casting work)))

it would be great ! i'm trying to find another way for making dolls without toxic materials like resin, so as it's a bit too expensive to begin with porcelain (because of the kiln which is very expensive), i decided to try the fumo ^^ if you have tips or advices for the flumo it will help me a lot ^^

In fact, I'm surprised that the flumo is so popular in Russia. Every second Russian master had ever worked with flumo. And the fact that few people use flumo abroad was a discovery for me.... o.o

Thanks! Flumo very popular in Russia. it is strong and lightweight material. it is impossible to break the detail, if squeeze it in hand. also details well tolerated dropping on the floor. but you can break off a finger or other fine detail, especially when the detail is wet.

For porcelain Ive heard the dust realy bad on breathing. Besides this the kiln and all needs so much space. I live in a very tiny apartment. I was considering a class with Ankie Dannen to learn direct sculpting in porcelain. maybe someday Ill try it

I'm afraid to disappoint you, but the dust from Flumo not less harmful. work during grinding is possible only in respirator. and to work with Flumo need space more than one table....)))) so...difficult to say what of these two things harder in work))
