This pictured served me as a lightning test site, hopefully it came out well 0_oDrawn on Illustrator again :/ my 2nd picture...
I really have no idea if that's what she wanted but oh well.

Oh, well it can be done in Illustrator but with Photoshop it's more comfortable in my opinion, you just copy the entire image and paste it above the original, then you just apply blur filter on the copy and make half transparent, some thing like 20-40% or so, and that's it...
Thats exactly how Culu did it in the Marny gift picture, i think
