Description
Trade with the lovelyHer awesome characters, Dimi and Trixxxy! The colours are a bit off, Dimi's hair apparently grew whilst I was drawing...and I'm sure he looks too...manly. Sorry about that, Risha! I did have a lotta fun with it, though. ^^
I tried to add more depth to my shading. I'm really looking to improve, so any kind of constructive crit...on anything...is more than welcome!
The characters are coloured pencil (with watercolour for the pants) and the BG is watercolour and a little oil paint for the black.
White gel-pen throughout!

Ahh, yes, that was meant to be flat looking for a sort of fade out effect along with Dimi's tail that...didn't work too well. X> And you're right, I always have that problem of making living things look plastic...that's something I'm trying to work out of my newer stuff. And yup, I thought they looked like feathers! The main thing that irks me about this though is how odd the fur on his arm looks, with the blue fluff and the much too dark shadow under it.
The colours sort of save it for me, though. X> Thanks for the honest comment!

I'm not sure that everything looked like plastic, just the way that her arm turned out... there is obvious fur there but it doesn't "floof" past the outside the outline of her arm any, and maybe the arm overall is too harshly segmented into the upper and lower parts. I rather like the overall shiny appearance of your characters; they seem to get plenty of vitamin E

Colored pencils don't give you much option for very dark shadows. I like your style the way it is, but if I wanted to darken shadows I would use some ink shading in those areas first before I started coloring. I'll draw something as an example and post it in my scraps for you.

I think this has gotta be the best rendition of Risha's characters EVER!
There is just so much beauty in this, I just... I don't know where to start. The fur, is fantastically textured as always, certain parts in the tail look almost dreadlocky! Dimi's hair is absoloutly beautiful, it's long, but masculine, which is so damn difficult to get right. I rarely call anthros, and especially male anthros, sexy... but he gives off that air, doesn't he? ahahah X3
Trixxx's tshirt looks real. It looks like you could feel and tug at it, and her trousers the same, with such subtle cross hatching that makes it look like real netting.
I don't know what to advise for shading, because I think you've done a fantastic job! I'm sure Risha'll love it :3

First off, I love your colouring. Loads and loads and loads. Anatomy also seems perfect.
Howeveer... The poses need a touch of work. Namely, the girly(forgive my lack of names >.<
Of course, there's the chance I've misinterpreted this entire picture, so I'll try again for good mesure.
Let's say that Girly is holding herself without the help of Boy. In this case, it's probably being accomplished by her hand on his arm and her other hand (not visible) on his back/arm. However, her hand (the visible one) appears to be pushing away from him, meaning that she'd have to be holding herself up with only one arm and her legs (not an easy feat >.<
There's still the possibility that I've missed the entire point of the picture. Sorry! Don't eat me D:

C: Nah, you didn't misinterpret, I myself didn't really know what was going on, just that I wanted to fit them both in without being too awkward. ;3 Lazy. Constructive criticism is difficult when you insist on being so good. My favourite bit is the fur shading on the blue and purple guy, it does have a lot of depth. The background is as usual striking and ice-cube cool, love the way the noses meet in the circle. My art teacher would joygasm over you and your composition, she's always shouting at me for my technique of Shove It On The Page Anywhere And Claim It's Modern. The girl's shirt is extremely smooth for pencils, how do you even manage that you freak? Cont crit...uhhh...the red things on the right make it look a little unbalanced compared with the left, but it doesn't show unless you're searching desperately for faults. I'm just so helpful really.
