Description
Space, the final frontier.
These are tales of a new humanity, enlightened and reaching for the stars.
It is a hopeful vision of the future, and yet it features the struggles of human nature, moral quandaries faced by an idealistic civilization, and all the wonders and horrors of an entire galaxy waiting to be discovered.
At first glance, it is easy to call this new age Utopia. But there is more to it than that – hardships, challenges, and consequences worth a more in-depth exploration.

The goal of this project will be to present Star Trek as a cohesive universe based on the concepts and ideas put forward by the shows.

This will include...
... small lore snippets on Star Trek Technologies, offering homebrew constraints and applications to make them less arbitrary than infamous techno-babble.
... story snippets exploring the implications of Starfleet / Federation ideology, applying those to a large-scale setting rather than just episodic problems and stories.
... unusual in-universe perspectives on the setting to highlight interesting corners not usually seen in the shows.

I want to do so without getting caught up in the minutia of on-screen canon, as that includes countless contradictions, omissions, and oddities due to narrative, budgetary or technological constraints. Instead, I want to look at Star Trek under the premise of it being a functioning universe, and use that premise to overrule or re-contextualize some things on-screen in order to create a more complete vision of the setting.
