Clad in gold and ivory, the Midas Maledicta is a ship of grand splendor only a true believer of the Emperor's blessed realm could ever know. Shining, as though reflecting still the sacred light of Sol, this vessel is one of a kind and granted to the firstborn of the Conquistadores of Hallowed Calhall, the holiest world of all in Sector Gondwana. From there, this dynasty of missionaries and conquerors has long been hailing, spreading the Imperial Creed and singing His name. well this ship is roughly light cruiser size, right? so the greater maneuverability would make the side turrets more useful than on a heavy to manuevre battleship. this think would be a great blockade runner with all that forward firepower.
one question: have you thought of doing a BattleFleet Gothic to BSG ship size chart??

Seems only right that a Ecclesiarchy ship would be gold and white. I love the broadside lance batteries too. I thought of that myself for a Space Marine grand cruiser design for my Headcanon.

Who knows, maybe these ones were on a space marine vessel too at some point of their history 
Personally, I got the idea from Spacepirate Captain Harlock, who goes even a step further and gets his turrets rotating on rings all around the hull - there are beautiful scenes of them blasting in all directions through entire fleets of inferior vessels. That's how I imagine this ship dealing with a newly discovered Xenos race.
Maybe I'll try to make a scene like that. Sure, in the lore the Imperium oftentimes seems a bit regressive and brutish, but still, their tech remains incredibly advanced and superior to most they encounter... capturing that aspect of 40k would be fun!
