A patrol craft made its way to the outer Undrabel system. Tasked with charting the most likely hiding places on the edge of its gravity well, the vessel was the first of the Empire's vanguard for Operation Whiplash.

Imperial intelligence had suggested the arrival of rebel forces in the days ahead. Units in transit to the Outer Rim would gather at this junction – a perfect opportunity for the imperial garrison to assert authority over Undrabel's worlds once and for all. Once the dissidents would be brought to justice before the public tribunal, no doubt would remain about the strength of the Galactic Empire. Peace would return to this sector, after years of war and terrorist disruption.

The imperial patrol sought out locations where the dissidents would make their lair. In the wake of this first survey, asteroids would be mined, traps would be laid and a focused sensor network was established. A perfect ambush for the Rebel Alliance, for an imperial victory.
