Since the very dawn of consciousness, stories have been the single most important vehicle for humanity to understand the wolrd and to convey this understanding among each other, from generation to generation. The understanding of the world through myths, tales and legend is rooted in the very evolution of humanity, favoring those who anthropromorphize everything in the world, recognize patterns in every aspect of their lives, and display a primal drive to see events they witness concluded. It is these characteristics which have formed complex cultures in every civilization and continue to do so as panhumanity reaches out for the stars.

For this reason, civilizations across the Heliopolis have never become fully detached from mystizism, spirituality, even ancient religious beliefs and ritualistic tradition. While the contents and sources for panhumanity's stories have changed, nothing ever changed its fundamental nature as storytellers.
