Description

While the T11-3 Yager is ostensibly a TIE variant adding four long-range cannons to the ship's armament for its skirmisher role, the internal layout quickly reveals its true nature as a copycat of the imperial original. Failing to reach the same level of sophisticated miniaturization and compact design that makes the TIE so small and nimble, the designers of this starfighter had to extend the main fuselage and add two secondary pods with vital machinery to the hull. The resulting system is, ironically, a nominal improvement in terms of performance over the original TIE. However, its decentralized nature makes the Yager more susceptible to sabotage and critical damage, as well as driving up the time and cost of repairs.
