Description The First Paracorps is an elite squad of flighted bombers. Pictured above from top left: Sergeant 556-Bill, Sergeant Pete Pteron, Cpl H-Bob, LCpl Ken Kiet, PFC 762-Bill, and Lcpl A-Bob.

They came within a day of the princess' capture. Then they told us the town was theirs... Then they punished toads harshly for disobeying them... They call themselves 'Bowser's First' and they've been giving Toadtown the dickens throughout it's occupation... what more could they possibly want? They already have out blessed princess! At least I will forever have the memory of their sullen faces when the brothers Mario trounced them before speeding off into the fields in search of our heavenly girl... but In the brothers' absence the dastardly 'Bowser's First' have made life real tough for us left here in the town...

Stars... if you're still shining, please... save our dear princess...

I really like how the wings are made, starting scaled like that. It's definitely less out of place than the bird wings the games use.

Well, I wanted the wings to give a similar impression that they do in the games and official art. In the source material, I noticed that they are sort of hand shaped and it made sense to me that they could be exactly like sea turtle flippers... but more like an insect wing or that of a pterosaur even. I made them translucent for two reasons. To show the thinness of the wing itself, and to give them a kind of "fairy" type of look. Even though parakupas are the farthest things from fairies in the world, especially these two...

I'm so glad you noticed and I appreciate the comment! Thanks!

I actually preferΒ  uncolored paper drawn versions of these bombs.. these 3d models a little bit out of place.. it had detailed, characteristic eyes, eyebrows.. the design was unique, don't ignore that.. :/

I did kind of rush them... I'm going to have to fix that and re- upload them... the mechanism I came up with for the "arms" sliding back and forth as well as the original eye shape and that mechanism would'nt be hard to replicate with the techniques I used to render the other body parts...

I just really really wanted it to be finished and I let that itch get the better of me...

I will. I should really do something with the paratroopa flying in the background too...

Too awesome for words. Β

Though I guess it would help somewhat to have these 3-D bomblings blend somewhat better with the sky.

I rushed them a lot... Once I got that pitted "cast iron" texture on them it was pretty much over... but they need a lot of work still...

I thought more in terms of post-render, 2-D fix in whatever graphic editor you're using - the models themselves are as good as they can get. Β

well I used photoshop to "model" them... so I'd end up using the same techniques to do the little camera lens eyes and slidey ballast things. I wonder if the blue haze I gave them is too intense and suggestive of a reflective material... I could tone that down a bit too...
