>X3 yeah orta had been sort of hard, but except maybe the RPG part of the series (yes, an rpg !!) they all had been sort of HARD games, especially when you aimed for perfection XD most fans dont think of orta as the same, since it used modern graphic and the team was only partial from andromeda (the music changed quite a bit since its the smilebit team now , which is a bummer) but otherwise, you experienced some dragoon-flavor *gggg* if there would be a game I would love to bleed for - then it would be a new panzer dragoon o,O

true true - never had the chance to play the original Saturn ones though cos well ... I never got a Saturn =S By the time I had enough money to actually by a console at that age, Saturn was already a seriously unadvised choice!

You can unlock the original in Orta though, right?

you can unlock some stuff at Orta, but the second part and especially the jewel Azel (the only RPG part of the series) would still be locked, at least the game itself. you can be "lazy" though and watch the gamesequences at orta ^^ I dont know if the (quite crazy) end of Azel is kept at Orta, since the US version of the end video was "customized" toward the US market . I recently bought all parts of Panzer dragoon for my dusty saturn, and I totally felt it was a better investment then new games but heck I am a nerd for this game..

wow, thats cool. The thing is, I think games are starting to reach that age/generation where newer doesnt neccesserily mean better. Control methods/inputs have pretty much been standardised, as well as gaming format - and apart from a change (not always improvement) in graphics, games are quite similar to how they were 10, even 15 years ago.

But whilst some see that as a bad thing, it doesnt need to be. Its no different to film really - once the rules were set in the early 1900s, they started to come into their own. Games might not be the innovate, creative hotpot they once were (mainly due to loads of development teams not knowing what the hell would sell and just doing any old thing), but that shouldnt really be looked on negatively. Sometimes games (such as Panzer Dragoon) got the whole thing right at the time - and it should still be played!

I only have a 360 now and I'm playing games that came out at release back in 2005/2006. Some of 'em are still good! Cos they were made good! And whilst I havent played it, I can see why PD would be still great if it was good at the time (especially as not many companies have tried improving on it - apart from Rez maybe )

Me and my mate recently had a go on DOOM on Xbox Live arcade - for what we thought would be a nostalgic laugh. It turned out we absolutely LOVED it - more even so than when it first came out - and far from being a "joke" as we thought it'd be, we now play it quite a bit and enjoy it loads.

Whoo hoo!
Puts lava hand in corn kernels for popcorn.

Great job with this.

Did you know that 4 cell phones receiving a call generate enough energy to pop a kernel of corn?
