Okay, so we did make it back to Atlantic City, but we procrastinated on photos our whole vacation until about 3am - 4am the night before we were leaving to go home. I was actually in bed, dead asleep before these pix were taken LOL - I woke myself up to get in costume and do a quick shoot because we honestly had the best intentions to do so
So this is L in his hotel room offering Mr. Panda a drink... Mr. Panda has a beanie butt--and it's cute

We got Mr. Panda at a kinokuniya bookstore about a year ago. I do sometimes see him at anime cons in the dealers room, and if you hunt around you can find him on the net. Ebay has different kinds of Mr. Panda, but not always that exact one. ^^

I like the lighting. It put all of the focus on L and the computer while the background is barely visible, which kind of helps convey the message that there's been nothing but work going on for a long time. Or am I reading too much into it? Either way, this is awesome, and I still want my own Mr Panda.
Oh, and adding my two cents to the conversation with ~Calawyn , my friends and I have always been convinced that L can levitate. It's not at all clear that his feet are in contact with his chair sometimes...

I can see how it would help with getting into character and so on.
Picture him in his favourite crouch position, levitating about a foot off the floor and bobbing very slowly and gently up and down in the air with a faint, high-pitched humming sound, and you'll have my own personal canon of L.

I'm glad you enjoy my madness. 8) The way I see it he doesn't tend to do that unless he wants to show off- normally he just levitates the whole table, and then when necessary he'll float a sweet or a cake or something up from a plate into his mouth with the power of his mind.
Now I've got a mental image of Watari walking down the corridor and coming across a parade of cakes and donuts, floating along in single file towards L's room. Watari would just roll his eyes, I expect.
