Well, this COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has pretty much screwed everyone over. The world's pretty much in a standstill at the moment. We haven't had a pandemic of this scale since the Spanish flu in 1918. It's likely that this will continue on until the next year, during which a workable vaccine that's safe enough for mass use can be made available.

Ironically enough, despite what this pic depicts, I had not stepped outside my house since the start of the lockdown last March. That doesn't mean that I can't at least have a look outside my window and see the twilight sky, as both blue and orange are mixed together.

I'm just glad that I'm still alive. That I continue to exist. That I can draw this art and post it online for everyone to see. Should we be grateful, too, that we are still alive, even with this tough time we're facing right now? That's the message I want to convey.

As an artist, I feel pressured to keep bettering myself. I constantly explored new techniques to draw my art with. I looked at other people's art, and I realized, I'll need to step-up my game even more. I've always wanted to draw more expressive pics like this one. Once again, I had to step out of my comfort zone. My biggest hurdle is my poor background drawing skills, and that's something I'll need to get around with.

This is also the first time I drew a twilight sky. I wanted to try something different for once. The twilight sky has a calm effect to me.

I exist. That's what matters.

I admit, I didn't actually plan to have this pic be part of the #StartWithLove hashtag. Then again, "love" doesn't always have to mean the romantic or platonic kind. Being able to enjoy life is love, too. As long as I'm still alive, I wish to continue spreading love and happiness to this world.
