Devil-triggered Dante! Well, not fully triggered though
Maybe it's sometimes between the story of DMC3 & DMC1... Since the Devil-triggered form for the 2 series are different & the one in DMC1 already looks like Sparda's, that's why I decided to draw Dante like this, in his mid-evolution to his perfect devil, fighting the devils from DMC1!

I know this is KINDA off the picture but, this might be my own opinion, doesn't the DT form seem kinda bug-like? More or less like a beetle maybe? I just want to put my opinion out there. (And yet Virgil's is basically armor, while Nero has a spirit/shinigami-like phantom above/around his body [The theories are that it's NeloAngelo], I don't know for sure since you know CAPCOM will put some twist and bend our theories out of circulation, but I hope DMC 5 tells us more about how Nero got his' Demonic' arm). As I said before 'I know this is KINDA off the picture'

I think it's bug-like too, but the CAPCOM says it's design after the reptile 
while the one on Vergil at DMC1, that's not his real DT, only suppose to be a body merely controled by Mundus
& they've design Nero's DT too (not the aura-ish one); if u've following my gallery for quite a time, I think u'll know, I've make a statement of Nero's DT on 1 of my deviation

Anyways, you can actually become Nelo-Angelo as Virgil's DT in certain costumes so that's why I supposed It mainly was. Plus his other DTs seem armor-like, or like their wearing some armor,maybe it's just me
And sorry I have not read your statement on Nero's DT; I'll check it out.

well, if as a dragon, it has wings.... but I don't see anything that points the design suppose to be a dragon though....
but who knows anyway

Ah, I just like to guess and give my opinion about things and why I think that way. Although if it WAS a dragon they could've gave him a tail, but then again He IS a cross-breed, so maybe that's why.

there are designs of DT Dante with tail, but capcom haven't use those concept in the game yet :S
