Description
the colored version of DMC4's Dante along with his Devil Trigger form & Perfect Devil Trigger form, also with each of their comparison size in each form; as like what I've promised before
the info of Dante's PDT, which actually hasn't officially appear in the game itself, can be read here
(I'm too lazy to explain it for the 2nd time) & this pic took me way longer than I expected too
esp because of the too many red & black were sort of confusing me 
lasty, to people who had play DMC4, did anyone realize that Dante's DT is originally winged, but only folded up along the side of his body? (see his sort-of-scalely-like-coat in DT form? those are the wings)
while his PDT's Rebellion-sword-tail is appear from his back, right below the neck; & not from the waist, as a normal tail suppose to be
did CAPCOM plan to make the Rebellion sword take over Dante's body or something like that....? or what?? 
either way, I believe CAPCOM had plan to make him goes berserk in PDT form; but cancel that idea for DMC4, with the reasons that only CAPCOM's staffs themselves know
hopefully they will actually use this PDT idea in the future

Do you have to play them order or can you start with any one of them. I usualy can only find the 3rd one in game shops when ever I look.

the 3rd is the prequel of the whole story, & the best if for the PS2 version nonetheless
so starts with DMC3 will be the right choice

it's not officially appear in any game of the series yet
capcom had planned this form before the release of DMC4, & even had give all the detailed design on their official illust book; but they decide to cancel the PDT for DMC4 with the reason that I don't know why :S

I always noticed in DMC3 that Dante and Vergil had wings when you DT'ed with Beowulf.
I hope they use the PDT in the next game. That would be wicked.

yah, there aren't many PS3 games yet; DMC4 & MGS4 are the only games I have for my PS3 for the moment
but looks like many great game will aiming for PS3 sooner or later though, like the newest FF13 or the Resident Evil 5 are all going to PS3

I totally agree with you on that.
And yes I did notice that he had lost his wings and had a scale like coat in replace those in the new game. I don't know why they did that because wings are so much cooler and fun to use when your too lazy to run all the way to the other side of something. 
And also people have a crazy ideas which and how devils would look like. But that is what separates them from the others and makes them more unique.
That's what I believe....
and good god the details you put in the DT one. I'd get to the eighteenth scale and go 'SCREW IT JUST DRAW A WHOLE BUNCH OF RANDOM LINES' and start scribbling lines down. XD

I think his DT in DMC3 is the strangest of all though
esp since it's totally different with #1, #2 & #4, that at least still share a lil' bit of same concept design
as like the one in DMC3 is the "cocoon" stage xDD
