MWPSB's Inspector Akane Tsunemori happens upon the Mask with ShionKaranomori while investigating a case for the Public Safety Bureau. This unsuspecting piece of evidence is a lot more than she first realises and soon will find out the true power it holds. However this will not be due to her own actions.... rather a cunning Shion jokingly slams The Mask into Akane's face causing the MWPSB Inspector a start to her ordeal, which results in a rather drastically changed Tsunemori. I guess the stress of such a job gets to people... and their awkward desires for their underlings... that or Akane really has pent up issues for a 20 year old.
