The 9.13.18 Nintendo Direct, was rather... underwhelming for me personally. It's the first character reveal we got where NO ONE DIED this time, lol (so I had to justify that here!)Compared to the last Direct we got, we got 5 newcomers, but for this one we only got one. (Was expecting other characters, honestly!)
I'm not really into Animal Crossing, so I couldn't care less about Isabelle, but I am at least happy for her fans who wanted more reps for the series. If you follow all the leaks like me, her inclusion was EXPECTED, but what got me is that she is Fighter 68, and NOT classified as an Echo Fighter (Would've been 45e).
She's actually you call a SEMI-CLONE of Villager, kinda like what Lucas is to Ness.
Personally, I thought she would be best suited as an Assist due to her alleged "pacifist" nature, and now I have to keep reminding myself she's actually in the game.
Now that Izzy's a fighter, I look forward to the crazy matchups between her and Ridley!
Who would win? A monstrous space dragon crazed with bloodshed, or an adorable little puppy-person?
That's the beauty of Smash Bros., it could go either way!

Give it some time, even though I don't think we'll get another Nintendo Direct until maybe around early of January, I still think that Nintendo is still going to reveal a few more characters before the release of Smash Ultimate.

In all actuality, since this direct was used to build up new switch titles, I get that they're saving more smash hype for the next smash direct and use Isabella's announcement to tease the next Animal Crossing for the Switch with the whole bit with Tom Nook.
But yeah, it was cute but I never played Animal Crossing and don't really care. But its still cool, now we wait for next month for any possible new news.

That's too cruel. I never played Animal Crossing, but she seemed like a too cutesy person to fight in Smash. At least Kirby, the Ice Climbers and even the Villager do something action-oriented.

Not an Echo? I thought her move set was very similar to Villager. Basically Isabelle is a fan favorite from Animal Crossing. That’s probably why she’s in the game
