recycled good ol' boring dad cause I liked 'em a bit too much to let 'em fade. o)-< He's like.. literally perfect for this environment. revamped his design as well. looks totally hipster.

Michael is admittedly not the happiest person on the planet. He's an overall downer who seems to have quite the dry and mundane stature as a person. His emotions are virtually flat with little fluctuation of happiness or excitement, coming about to be a rather pessimistic and depressive fellow when speaking on accounts of himself. He's very much that one friend that probably wouldn't shut up about his day-to-day problems; how dull life is and how he would much rather not even be alive. Outside of work he seems to slow down to the point he's excruciatingly lazy , having absolutely no interest in moving about once he hits the bed or the couch. Though, once he sets his mind on something, he'll work hard to finish it through.
As an alcoholic, his attitude at times isn't... the greatest, so to say. On the most random days Michael can be extremely irritable and downright callous to everyone and everything that's ballsy enough to cause him a problems (of course though in the end his guilt will set in, and he will eventually apologize for his actions). This usually causes him, along with the lack of trying to conjure a relationship, to become a distant person who isn't too keen on making friends. It's not having anything to do with the other party so to say, he just thinks he, himself, wouldn't be a great person to be around and thus strays away from sociability.
Oddly enough when he does happen to befriend someone, and that of a younger age, he tends to come out as a very fatherly figure wanting to throw a blanket over his youngster friends and protect them with all he has. It's almost like he's trying to give himself a better purpose with his time other than sit and mope.

►Art - He has a soft spot for the artistic side of things. He adores looking at drawing/paintings and sculptures of people. It's very relaxing for him.
►Coffee - "What? No coffee? How'da hell do you expect me to function today-- what the heck??"
►Sleeping - The perfect remedy for escaping reality.
►Meat - Because meat is awesome. All kinds of meat is awesome. \ o /
►A good laugh - Something he doesn't get very much of, but he enjoys every chance he gets when does laugh.
►Warmth in cold weather - Something about snuggling up in a bunch of blankets with some nice hot tea in the winter is very calming and cozy to him.

►Stress - It's an unseen feeling he isn't able to control, and he hates being powerless to the world around him.

►Heat / Cold - Extreme heat to where he has to strip down to nothing isn't great. Extreme chills to where he has to wear a jacket upon a jacket over another jacket just to go outside isn't great either.
►His life in general - It could be better.
//History
So, Michael wanted to be an artist when he was kid. Drawing and painting was his way of expressing his feelings at the time since he was a bit of a mute child. Although he had talent for it, his parents coaxed him away from the passion, telling the old tale that artists don't make very good money nowadays. Instead, his parents would have insisted that Michael go into financial work, where the money was literally at. At first, it sounded alright. Art could be something he do as a fun hobby, while he can put his math skills to the test dealing with money. And besides, it was great pay with little requirement of him having to do anything but be good with numbers, so what's the downside? Michael with little hesitation did what was expected of him as his parents, and began to climb the ranks whenever he found a job as being a local stockbroker.
The downside is that he absolutely hates this job. It is possibly the most tortuous, boring and mind-numbing job he could have ever taken in his life. The notion to quit has popped into his mind many times, but Michael honestly feels he wouldn't be able to pick up any other job if he were to quit. The job of staring at numbers was deafening but it paid the bills. This was all he was good at. Adding numbers. Math. Sitting. If he were to do anything else he'd be an outrageous wreck and be fired immediately. And after all, he's been at the same company for a good 8 years; made little friends here and there, has the most money he's ever had in his entire life... why should he give up his luxuries for his own happiness? Would he rather be happy but poor, or well-off but feel immensely shitty? ...It's a question he's been asking himself for years, but have only repressed himself in alcohol to not think of it. In quiet moments of being buzzed, he wonders about if he could do anything else with his life... didn't he liked drawing at one point?
Eventually after his long years of working he was eventually laid off due to cuts, which-- he wasn't complaining at the time but...how the heck am I supposed to get paid now? Michael hastily rummaged around to find a job similar to his and stumbled on this new company that was just about to open pretty soon. They had a ton of free spots so... why not? Let's waste more of our life at another desk.

- Always brings his black mug to work. It reads "I'm tired."
- His profanity level is over 9000. Honestly his favorite word has to be "fuck" and he uses it randomly and out of context often.
- He actually keeps a sketchbook somewhere in the house. There's a couple of drawings inside. He's very reluctant to show anyone his art.
- Michael is right handed.
- "Drinking problem? What drinking problem?"
- When he starts to like someone (romantically), he gets wildly awkward and has a hard time talking.
- He's never had a girlfriend / boyfriend. Just the internet and a couple tissues to comfort him.
- If you want to get him talking, change the subject to geeky stuff like video games, anime, TV show series and movies. He'll be happy to talk about the latest Game of Thrones with you.
- He has a small English to Japanese dictionary on him. He's not entirely fluent in the language but it's enough for conversations. He usually uses the book for reading paperwork, but sometimes he can be seen sneaking it out for lost words in his sentences.
- He's been learning the language since his high-school days, which is where anime invaded his life.
- He's actually alright with people calling him dad. He may feel old, but he'll feel important.
- He has an odd fascination with dying via being hit by a bus.
